No one has been taken to the hospital. Well keep you update. A fiery onecar crash briefly closed lanes along the boulevard at fox street. A car flipped and caught on fire. One person was taken to the hospital. Crews salted the road to keep it from icing over after the fire was extinguished. Flames and bitter cold. Philadelphia Police Looking for a person who gunned down an 18yearold in the middle of the street in germantown. Officers found the young man yesterday on green street. They also found a weapon at the scene. This morning, were learning more about a West Philadelphia crime spree that ended with a Philadelphia Police officer in plain clothes shooting the suspect. Right now that suspect remains in critical condition. It started early yesterday morning when police say the man used a gun to steal a car. Later investigators say he used the gun to rob another man at a deli. Police spotted the mans vehicle, setting off a chase that ended with a crash. The plainclothes officer who approached the man said he refused to cooperate and made a for his waistband, and thats when the officer opened fire. If you go into the waistband, the police have to think youre going for something. I would have shot him, too, i guess. It is unclear if the suspect had a gun on him when he was shot. 4 04. Investigators say the man who killed his mother and shot himself during a ninehour standoff with police was not supposed to have guns. This was the scene in bethlehem township friday. Justin gephardt fired more than 100 rounds at police during a standoff. He had a a criminal record that should have prevented him from owning a gun. Authorities believe he got the weapons from his father who ended up killing himself days after the rampage.
