And anything that has melted in i slushy snow will turn into black ice. Doppler radar you can see the snow down here in south delaware. In fact we get way down here and places like already reporting five inches of snow. Theres a band thats stretching from there across south jersey thats going all evening long. You can see the cut off here from ship bottom back to vine land. Where its stopped. Some sprinkles and rain towards west chester. Starting to head towards philadelphia. It will be hours before this moves into the area. Take a look at the snow coming out of atlanta. This will expand and again it will be with us because this storm system is still pretty far to the south. When i come back ill go neighborhood by neighborhood. And time it out. Youll know when the snow is coming and how much to expect. Folks rush to buy salt to put on their driveways. We saw the supermarket packed. To delaware and the first state is stuck with road salt. This event is going all day tomorrow. So this is going to be something that doesnt let up. There maybe pauses in it. Do not fooled this is the long run of snow. Right now were looking at radar. Down here to southern delaware. We have seen as much as five inches in some places already. We slide across here. And go along the jersey shore. We have reports up to two to three inches. The dark shade of purple. Where its steady coming down. We have the higher accumulation. Now were starting to see it move north ward. Vine land on the edge of maybe a rain snow mix. West chester the same. And london grove. We head on up into berk county. Burn ville maybe flurries beginning to fly there. All this is starting to wrap around the area. It will take a while before it makes it to philadelphia. We again we could get pockets in there. Where it briefly stops. This will not turn off until late tomorrow night. Hour by hour. This is the rapid precision model. It has the best handle on the timing of the snow. Everybody is above the freezing mark right now. Watch what happens by 7 00 in the morning. That snow finally makes it through south jersey into philadelphia. Everybody is below freezing. You see the dark blue headed through parts of new jersey. Especially salem. And back through portions of central delaware. That is where youll get the heaviest band of snow. By 11 00 tomorrow morning were up to the poke nos with snow. That will wash aware your snow. By 1 00 on sunday morning, the snow should be out of here. Look at the temperatures falling. Everything will freeze. The big question, how much are you going to get . This is the rapid rescission model. It says all the snow a lot will wash away when it turns to rain. Nearly five inches in philadelphia. Lets look at the north american model. This one is more robust. It looks that swath from dover to mill ville. Anywhere from seven to eight inches. Maybe five in philadelphia. 3 pvr 3. 9 in allen town.
