it's going to be chilly out there. >> that's exactly right. actually, as we get into your next workweek we're really going to start feeling like that chilly fall november weather you'd expect. it's been mild the last couple of days. not quite so this morning. we're at 47 in philadelphia, little chilly out there. but really it's chilly in areas like pottstown and reading where we're now in the mid and upper 30s. allentown at 43. and millville at 48 degrees. you certainly want to grab a jacket as you head out the door. today, if you have plans in the afternoon hours, you may still need that jacket because it is not going to be into those 70s like we have been seeing. look at our radar and satellite. we've got some clouds in place this morning. i do believe we'll see increasing clouds as we get into the afternoon hours. and that's ahead of some chance of rain that will start to pick up by tonight. that chance of rain will come with a shift in winds, but for today those winds are kind of roping in from the north and northeast. what does that mean for us? well, they're not terribly strong, about 5 to 15 miles per hour. in the afternoon maybe a little breezy, gusts up to 25. but the most important part of this is when you've got a north or northeast wind, you're pulling in air from the north and northeast. and that's colder than us. so today those temperatures in the afternoon they stay a little cooler. we're going to talk about what to expect for the rest of your saturday and the changes for your sunday, more changes monday and the rest of your workweek coming up. in just under two hours from now thousands of people will come together here at citizens bank park in an effort to promote heart healthy living. the annual fundraiser is the signature event of the american heart association, which raises tens of millions of dollars across the country with its heart walks. nbc10's randy gyllenhaal is live at the bank with a preview of philadelphia's heart walk. randy. >> reporter: good morning, rosemary. it's going to be a chilly morning so if you're coming down here to south philly, bring a jacket. you might get a lot of exercise and even break a sweat. they're doing a three-mile walk beginning here at citizens bank park. you can see they're still setting up the balloons this morning. the walk will take them past wells fargo into the fdr park and then back here to the bank. all an effort to promote physical activity and heart healthy living. this is the american heart association's biggest number one fundraiser. and this year they're hoping to raise $2.5 million here in philadelphia. heart disease and stroke are the number one and number five killers of americans. one of the people walking today we got a chance to meet 35-year-old amy cavalier, who learned that heart disease can strike at any time to anybody with no warning. the busy mother of three woke up one morning with pain in her arm and chest and she couldn't breathe. >> having known the signs of heart attack but never in a million years thought it would be me. i'm young, i'm in shape, i don't smoke. i was down receiving cpr, chest compressions and aed for about 45 minutes. >> reporter: amy's coronary artery had attorntorn in half. she was in a medically induced coma for about a week. she'll be walking here with her family. and she wants people to know three things, one, the signs of a heart attack, two, learning cpr. and of course also how to use a defibrillator. the walk kicks off about 8:00 this morning. nbc10's jackie london will be the emcee. live in south philly, randy gyllenhaal, nbc10 news. >> thanks, randy. new this morning, a woman is safe after firefighters in camden county rescued her from her burning house. it happened right here on crestmont terrace in collinswood. flames started spreading just before mid nigh. the woman was trapped on the second floor of her home. firefighters had to use their ladder to reach her. she did make it out okay with only minor injuries. crews eventually extinguished the flames. investigators are now looking for the cause of this fire. this morning, we are hearing from four youth football coaches who describe how they hit the ground and ducked for cover beneath cars to avoid gunfire in camden. as you can see two of them were injured. the four coaches were putting away equipment at a house near ninth street and chelton avenue in camden following a scrimmage last week. they tell us when they walked out of the house, an unknown gunman fired several shots at them. two of the coaches, calvin johns and zack worthy couldn't get away fast enough. johns shot in the arm, worthy in the legs. >> i turn around and he's laying on the street face first. i think he was more shocked than anything. laying there blood coming out of his leg or whatever. he said i'm hit, coach, i'm hit. >> all i heard was, pop, pop, next thing i know i was on the ground. i heard coach say i've been hit, i've been hit. >> just five days later nearly a block away camden county police officer patrick ohenlen was shot while fighting off an armed teenager. so far no arrests in either case. let's head now to delaware county where police are searching for a gunman who shot a 73-year-old woman. skyforce 10 was over the scene last night. crews rushed the woman to the hospital. she is expected to survive. we're working to get more details about what led up to this shooting. this weekend several bucks county communities are on alert as police investigate three separate child lurings. right now police are trying to fwig yur out if two cases in bristol township and one in yeardley are connected. police tell us it was a silver car but they have not released anymore details. brownies possibly laced with a dangerous substance may be the reason why some radnor high school students went from a pep rally to the er. police called a news conference last night to warn other parents. medics had to rush six students who got sick thursday night to the hospital for treatment. police say the brownies may have been laced, but they don't know yet what was in it. investigators tell us they found out about the incident from a parent of one of the students affected. staying in radnor internship, delaware county, these three women who flipped over in a car while being chased by police are under arrest on shoplifting and other charges. investigators tell us the suspects stole several thousands dollars worth of bed sheets from a department store yesterday. they then tried to get away from an officer at a traffic stop but the women ended up hitting another car which caused theirs to flip. according to police one of the suspects then got out and tried to carjack a mother who had her child inside. that's when officers caught up to the trio. this is a live look -- or rather this is a look at the frank rizzo statue near philadelphia city hall. and it may be one of the last times you see it. it will be gone in just a few months. the city has decided to move the controversial landmark. yesterday city officials announced their decision to remove the ten-foot tall statue. it followed weeks of debate initially sparked by riots in charlottesville, virginia, during a white nationalist rally over the removal of a confederate statue. critics call frank rizzo a racist mayor and police commissioner when he was in office from the late '60s to 1980s. his supporters say he did not single anyone out. >> i think it's an insult to everybody, living and dead, that contributed to the statue. >> the relocation of the statue doesn't change anything about history. it doesn't erase it. it doesn't change anybody's legacy. >> city officials have not yet determined a new location for the to see a bit of sunshine as you wake up this morning once the sun has come up. the difference is going to be that throughout the day we're going to have more clouds building in so we're going to start to thicken up across the region. that's going to lead to a mostly cloudy forecast. partly cloudy out there, 58 the forecast high temperature today in center city. that is a big difference from yesterday when we were in the 70s. but remember yesterday when we were in the 70s that was way warmer than average. this is very close to average. this is kind of a typical cool fall day. 60 somerton, 58 landsdale and about 56 in allentown. these mid and upper 50s will feel chilly in the afternoon. you'll probably want a jacket throughout later parts of the day. 59 for voorhees, same deal in delaware. mostly cloudy especially into the afternoon. this is our weekend timeline. this morning some sun to clouds, cooler as we go into the afternoon, like i just showed you. as we go into tonight some spotty showers start to move in. those showers linger through at least the first half of sunday. they could still be isolated sunday afternoon and evening, but more so you're going to notice the cloudy and mild conditions as temperatures start to pick back up. so from cool and cloudy to showers, showers to cloudy and mild, there will be a change in those temperatures this weekend. here's a look at the hour by hour model. there we are some clouds this morning, there we are by your afternoon. we have more cloud coverage in place but dry throughout the daytime hours. if you have plans outside, birthday party, anything like that, good to go. as we get into the evening now we have a few spotty showers rolling across the area. notice they kind of continue to move through especially overnight, which is good. most of us will be asleep at home, no issue there. but some lingering showers are possible into your morning hours sunday, even in the afternoon a sprinkle here or there is possible. but i think for the most part we will be dry and then things really do dry out into sunday evening. that's going to be short lived though because a cold front moves in monday. that's going burglars stealing more than $4,000 worth of opioids. the two men used a crowbar to pry open the store's front door last week. they then forced open a security gate and took the drugs from the pharmacy. police are still searching for these thieves. back here at home, a woman in chester county is facing dui charges for the eighth time. police tell us they pulled over mildred dixon in west chester after noticing she was driving e radically. officers arrested her after she failed several sobriety tests. a woman in central florida accused of riding this horse under the influence. deputies corralled the rider and animal along a very busy highway on thursday. the officers say they spotted the woman weaving her horse near traffic and scaring drivers chlgt accordi-- according to of the rider's blood alcohol was over the legal limit. newly released government documents on the jfk assassination say claims that lee harvey oswald had connections to the cia were, quote, totally unfounded. the cia memo from 1975 shows a thorough search of agency records did not turn up any link to oswald. oswald also says there was no other indication any other u.s. agency used him. oswald shot and killed president john f. kennedy in 1963. yesterday the national archives released hundreds more documents related to the assassination. the first batch came out last week. president trump has urged the release of all remaining jfk documents. today, the philadelphia soul will be looking for their next breakout player with open tryout. registration starts this morning at 8:00 at the is the cooldown day. take a look at our temperatures right now. this isn't a horrible start to your morning, but it's chilly. 43 in allentown, 41 coatesville. i have seen some of our suburb neighborhoods in the 30s. you see we're also in the 30s over mt. pocono. 47 in philadelphia. and then we're at 45 in atlantic city. so those are the actual temperatures. now let's take a look at what it feels like outside. a little more 30 coverage here. 38 degrees in trenton. 37 in coatesville. and 40 in wilmington. it feels like about 44 in philadelphia. and it feels below freezing at mt. poconos. so we are getting some of that colder air. look at the wind see where they're coming from the north-northeast push. the air to the north of us is typically colder this time of year so that's what's moving our way and why we're going to feel colder both this morning and especially this afternoon. radar and satellite we have some clouds out there this morning. they'll be easier to detect once sunrise occurs in about an hour. but we're going to have more clouds building throughout the day. that means by tomorrow we'll have a chance of some rain. for today though a fairly dry one with increasing clouds and temperatures that just do not pick up like they did yesterday. only about 55 at noon. we'll look at the high temperature for today across all of our neighborhoods coming up in a that police say led to a murder. this morning a berks county man is in jail in illinois accused of killing a woman who rejected him. here's the story, authorities say christopher tucker murdered tara serino earlier this week in albany township, berks county. according to investigators tucker strangled her, broke her neck and wrapped her body in a blanket. tucker then drove off to illinois where officers arrested him at a truck stop on halloween. he reportedly confessed and told police serino's body was inside his house back in berks county. now to decision 2017. we are in the final weekend of campaigning for races all across our region. and a big spotlight is on the governors race in new jersey. today republican candidate will visit six counties in south jersey. the current lieutenant governor will make stops in ocean, burlington, gloucester, salem, cape may and atlantic counties. her main street not wall street bus tour will visit every county in the state before election day on tuesday. the democrat in the governor's race, phil murphy, has a full day of campaigning as well. he'll be in north jersey. he'll be holding rallies in newark and two other cities. u.s. senator cory booker is expected to join murphy at one of those events. murphy by the way is financier and former diplomat. polls show him leading by double digits. happening now, president trump is in hawaii. the first leg of his trip to asia. yesterday the president and the first lady honored the fallen at the "u.s.s. arizona" memorial at pearl harbor. mr. trump also got a briefing at the military headquarters. he then met with governors of pacific states and territories to discuss the north korea threat. next he'll head to japan followed by stops in china, south korea, vietnam and philippines. the 12-day trip is longest by any american president in more than a quarter century. today, vice president mike pence will be in our neck of the woods. he'll be visiting pennsylvania. he'll be in york meeting with business leaders and families to talk about tax reform. labor secretary alexandra acosta and area congress members will join the vice president for those discussions. if you are wondering if joe biden will run for president, msnbc's chris matthews says he has the scoop. the philadelphia native tells me biden will run in 2020. i spoke to matthews yesterday just outside our studios in bala cynwyd. the host of "hardball" told me he has talked to biden's people and to his family and he knows for a fact that the former vice president is running. matthews believes biden could be the candidate that unites the democratic party. >> the blue collar roots are key. look what the democrats missed last time and have missed since reagan. they lost the working class whites. and they got to get them back. >> we did reach out to biden. his spokesman tells us that the biden camp has no official comment, but the spokesperson did point to two recent interviews in which the former vice lunchtime. and then in the afternoon upper 50s to right near 60 for the forecast high. and that is it, which is average for this time of year. that's typical for november. 70s that we've been seeing has been way warmer than average. in the suburbs we're at 41 degrees right now. we have about 53 at lunch hour and then mid to upper 50s for highs. a little breezy, i do expect, in the afternoon. lehigh valley we're at 43, mostly clear right now. i think clouds will thicken up in the afternoon. about 51 at lunchtime and 56 at 4:00 p.m. a few upper 50s are likely for those high temperatures in the lehigh valley. now, the last couple of days have just been so much warmer than average. 60 is typical for this time of year. we were at 73 yesterday. yesterday if you skipped the jacket, don't do it today. only 59 in the afternoon, but look at this. we warm right back to the 70s in time for monday. but that comes with rain too. we'll talk more about that in just a bit. coming up, strength on (cheering) orkers of this weekend's country music awards in nashville are apologizing to journalists. earlier this week organizers had advised reporters to stay away from sensitive topics or they would be removed. country stars like brad paisley tweeted outrage officials dropped the policy and apologized. last week's las vegas massacre at a country music festival sparked questions to the industry about gun control. one month after that massacre crews are finally taking apart the site where the deadliest shooting in modern u.s. history happened. don't forget this was a crime scene. this is a chopper view of the parking lot and the concert area in las vegas. crews have been dismantling stages, tents, billboards and other equipment. 58 people were killed. about 500 others injured when that lone gunman opened fire on the crowd from an upper floor of a nearby hotel. more fallout from the las vegas tragedy. massachusetts is now the first state to ban the bump stock. that's the device used by the gunman in the vegas massacre that allows a semiautomatic weapon to fire more like a fully automatic weapon. today, family and friends will remember the new jersey native killed in this week's terror attack in new york city. a visitation for darren drake will be held at a funeral home in new milford burgen county. his funeral service is on monday. flags will fly at half staff on monday at all new jersey state buildings in honor of drake and the other victims killed in the attack. eight people were killed, 11 more seriously hurt after police say a terrorist drove a pickup truck right into a crowded bike path on tuesday afternoon. the suspect sayfullo saipov is charged with terrorism. because of the attack police are promising unprecedented security effort for tomorrow's new york city marathon. hundreds of extra officers will be along the 26.2 mile route. the security detail will also include bomb sniffing dogs and rooftop snipers poised to shoot if a threat emerges. sanitation trucks filled with sand will also block key intersections to prevent anybody from driving on to the course. >> we have people here from all over the globe. my message is we will keep them safe. we're working very, very closely and very well with our federal and state partners. >> the mayor also says the pride and strength of the city will be on full display during the marathon. for the first time we are hearing about the price tag on the long-ago settlement agreement between bill cosby and his trial accuser. former montgomery d.a. suing andrea constand claiming she harmed his reputation and cost him the chance to return to office. constand filed a defamation suit just days before the election. castor claims his decision in 2005 not to charge cosby with drugging and molesting andrea constand led to paying his accuser well into the millions of dollars. lawyers for castor and constand are not commenting on any of this. cosby will be re-tried in april for sex assault in the constand case. police in new york say they are now gathering evidence for a possible rape case against disgraced movie mogul harvey weinstein. investigators believe a rape allegation made against weinstein in 2010 is, quote, credible. "boardwalk empire" actress paz da la huerta accuses him twice of raping her in her apartment. in the meantime, new york police will continue to investigate. police in los angeles and london are also preparing possible cases. weinstein has denied the dozens of allegations of sexual harassment and assault. netflix is cutting ties with actor kevin spacey. that means he is out as the star of "house of cards," one of the top shows on the streaming service. netflix has stopped production. it says it will evaluate whether to continue without spacey. the actor faces a series of sex harassment and sex assault charges -- or rather allegations. his publicist says spacey is seeking treatment. a new federal report approved by the wlohite house appears not to be in line with president trump's stance on climate change. latest assessment finds human activity is behind accelerated warming of the planet since the mid 20th century. the report warns this type of change is putting people, infrastructure, agriculture, water supplies and our ecosystem at risk. the president has called climate change a hoax created by the chinese. let's start with a live camera view. this is from center city looking over the delaware into camden. what a pretty shot. beautiful colors that we've got. remember i mentioned some clouds overhead right now we can kind of see them, fairly thin and high at this point. they're going to thicken and lower a bit into the later part of the day and make for a mostly cloudy afternoon. but for now this is what we've got, radar and satellite shows us kind of the higher clouds that are strolling on by. little thinned out in terms of cloud coverage farther north. but there too we'll see more clouds later in the day. right now the blue indicates that nice cool air spilling in from the north. and it's right over at least about half of our viewing area. we're at 47 in philadelphia. 32 farther north in syracuse. notice how these winds are wrapping around and dropping right over us from the north and northeast? that's what's going to keep us cool later today. it's all about the winds. yesterday when you had the south and southwest push, that pulls in warmer air down to the south. the yellow you see here. i can actually show you better. this is the warmer air, that was coming in yesterday. today this air is moving in, so it's going to keep us cooler. here's the thing, tomorrow the winds start coming back in from the southwest so that is going to change up the conditions that we deal with in terms of our temperatures. hour by hour right now looking at just some clouds in place, but they're thicker as we get into about your lunchtime. today it's around 1:00 p.m. so now mostly cloudy, we will stay mostly cloudy through the rest of this afternoon, this evening, overnight. and notice we start to pull in a few of those sprinkles. like i mentioned a warm front is going to roll through as we get into your sunday morning and afternoon. so as this warm front passes it will fire off a few of these spotty showers. this is 7:00 a.m. sunday. the chance of rain is a little lower by the afternoon. so this is 1:30. could you still see a sprinkle?
