this is "nbc10 news today." i'm rosemary connors. it's 6:00 on this saturday. let's talk about our weekend weather first. today it's going to be beautiful, but meteorologist krystal klei and the rest of our weather team has issued a first alert for tomorrow. krystal. >> yeah, rosemary, today does look great. but eagles fans not so excited about this forecast. i've been getting a lot of tweets saying are your serious sunday soaker. unfortunately why i've issued a first alert. sunday through sunday night we are talking for the entire area periods of heavy rain, some thunderstorms, strong wind gusts and localized flooding possible as a result. what's happening? we've got two different systems that are going to impact us. they're kind of going to come together right over our region, which is the problem. so right now on radar and satellite it looks great. clear conditions across the board. going to be very nice for the walkers, strollers, bikers that are going through the city today. tomorrow a very different picture and here's why. part one is a cold front that is sitting directly to our west. now, as this cold front moves our way, a low pressure center or storm center, that's the strength sometimes of a storm, that's going to get more powerful right over us. on top of that look south, way south, i'm talking about tropical moisture in a while, have we? this is what we're looking at now. with this tropical moisture already bringing some rain to parts of cuba and soon enough to parts of florida, but it is going to start tracking along the east coast and kind of combine with that cold front right over our area. so tropical moisture plus cold front not a good recipe for sunday. today though like i mentioned it's actually going to be a really nice and mild day. we're at 50 right now in philadelphia. 45 in pottstown and 43 in allentown. low 50s for you at wildwood and rehoboth beach. mild start, mild afternoon. we'll talk about the high temperatures for your saturday if you have outdoor plans then look at the efkfects on sunday coming up. thanks, krystal. stay ahead of the storms wherever you are by downloading the free nbc10 app. it has interactive first alert radar pluz neighborhood weather alerts sent right to your phone. this morning, a 16-year-old boy is in jail waiting to go before a judge for the murders of two other teens in south philadelphia. brandon olivieri surrendered to police last night. the teenager did not answer questions as he was led into police headquarters. investigators say he shot and killed caleer miller and sal dinubile. early friday morning the suspect's house was the target of gunfire. neighbors there have been on edge. >> it almost seems scarier that there's these kids going around, these kids with guns. >> police are still trying to figure out a motive for the shootings on tuesday. witnesses say there was an argument before the gunfire erupted. sal dinuble will be laid to rest today. a viewing for the 16-year-old begins this morning at 8:30. a funeral mass will follow. dinbile was a junior at st. joe's prep. the first arrest stemming from the investigation into russia's interference in the presidential election could happen monday. cnn reports a federal grand jury has approved the first charges. because a judge sealed those charges, it's unclear what they are and who will be under arrest. according to cnn the charges are a result of the federal probe into russian meddling and possible collusion with the trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election. special counsel robert mueller leads the investigation. president trump has called it a witch hunt. back here in the keystone state, prosecutors are not backing down in their case against members of a penn state fraternity. they re-filed manslaughter and aggravated assault charges in the death of timothy piazza. prosecutors claim piazza was a victim of a deadly hazing in february. last month a judge threw out the more serious charges against eight frat brothers, but prosecutors have re-filed all of those counts. new overnight, philadelphia police are looking for the person who shot a man three times in north philadelphia. it happened around 2:00 this morning on north marshall street. investigators are focused on a white dodge minivan at the scene they say had blood on the window. the victim is in the hospital this morning in critical condition. a woman is in the hospital right now following a row home fire in north philly. the blaze began just before midnight on north 11th street. crews rescued several people from the roof of the front porch. the fire marshal is now investigating exactly what caused the fire. we do know what caused 13 football players to get sick inside a delaware county high school locker room. skyforce 10 was over the scene at penn crest high school last night as the players left in ambulances. fire investigators say an air purifying machine in the men's locker room appears to be the cause that irritated the victims causing them to cough and have watery eyes. some of the players went to the hospital while others were treated right there at the high school. they'll all be okay. crews had to pull the fire alarm to make sure that the building was clear so that they could figure out exactly what caused the problem. happening now, crews are shutting down roads in philadelphia as they clear the way for philly free streets. it's the second year for the event that's expected to draw tens of thousands of people. imagine you get to walk right in the middle of the road, don't have to worry about drivers and the weather's going to be great. nbc10's randy gyllenhaal live in old city with a preview for us. randy. >> reporter: hey, rosemary, a rare chance to stand in the middle of an intersection in the middle of philadelphia streets. as of a few minutes ago the streets are officially closed. you can see them setting up the balloons here at the stage where the ribbon cutting's going to happen. you can find a lot of these signs up and down the third street up to fourth street from old city into north philadelphia as this free streets event kicks off. the closures begin here in old city at third and chestnut. they ride north up third street to fourth street up germantown avenue all the way up to fairhill. no cars allowed. and all along this route you're going to find free events like yoga, dancing, handball. i think you can even help paint a mural over at fifth and somerset. it is the city's second experiment with this free streets event, but this is the first time it will extend away from center city, especially so far into north philadelphia. most folks we talk to say it's a good chance to get outside and explore. >> it brings people into the city in a safe way with the streets closed down and stuff. >> the city should do tons of things where people can stop and take a breath and look around and shop and eat. >> reporter: some concern about traffic congestion especially if you're driving in this area. so you will need to be careful. you may recall that this all started when pope francis visited philadelphia back in 2015. the city had to close a number of streets for security concerns, but so many residents found it so fun to just walk around that they extended the tradition. this time, again, coming from old city all the way up into north philly. for now live in old city, randy gyllenhaal, nbc10 news. >> my neck of the woods. thanks for that, randy. now that i'm thinking about it, i've been having trouble getting around when i get home later today. hey, today wilmington is kicking off its own open streets event. this morning several roads in brandywine park will be blocked off to drivers. folks can enjoy the traffic free route every saturday morning of november. we have some breaking news now out of philadelphia's mantua neighborhood. this is a live look from the scene. you can see those flames shooting from the roof here of this row home. officials believe that it's an abandoned row home, but crews are searching and evacuating neighboring homes. you see they've got flashlights out there trying to get a better handle on this fire and also making sure there's nobody in the way. so far no reports of any injuries. we're going to continue to stay here right on the scene and we'll continue to update you throughout the morning. 6:08 right now on this saturday. coming up in other news, insight into a turning point in american history. what we're learning about the recently released jfk files and why some details will stay secret for now. plus, here comes the blitz. highlights from last night's high school football action including, oh, oh, that great catch. the high school blitz is still ahead. grit. some have it. some don't. when the odds are stacked against you, you either hide, or stand up. at strayer university, we've seen it in our students for 125 years. and if you ever think of quitting, our success coaches will be there to pick you up, and work with you every day to put you on the right path. it's time. strayer university. let's get it. let's go through our checklist for today. this is the better of the two days of our weekend. today's the day you can get outside. just a little morning chill out there, but really it's not terribly cold. we're talking some 40s and 50s to start off with, light jacket would be good. comfortable afternoon. we're talking temperatures upper 60s, low 70s, warmer than average for this time of year. then we get breezy as we get into the afternoon/evening. we'll be mostly sunny as well today, just some evening sprinkles are possible mostly in the overnight. that's ahead of the big changes for tomorrow. let's look at conditions through the day. 51 and sunny at 8:00 a.m. about 69 at 4:00. forecasting that high hitting 71 degrees in philadelphia. mostly sunny to partly cloudy in the suburbs, 67 at 4:00 p.m. and same deal in the lehigh valley and berks county. delaware you're at 49 this morning, 69 this afternoon. upper 60s at new jersey later on and mid to some upper 60s along the jersey shore. let's talk about that flash flood watch that's now in place over parts of the lehigh valley. this is for lehigh northampton county extending into northern new jersey. wouldn't be surprised if this is extended but for now this is through sunday afternoon through sunday late at night for the possibility of some heavy rain leading to flash flood concerns. first alert for the whole area because of the heavy rain likely to move through. we'll track that with our futurecast models in a few minutes. also coming up, a case of road rage takes a destructive turn as police say a driver used his car as a weapon. we'll show you how it all played out. plus, pay to play. the changes that happen today for a popular lottery game. honey, what are you doing? watching a cow...? what's it doing? impressions start your day with the new hash brown scramble bowl from chick-fil-a. now back to that breaking news that we're following out of philadelphia's mantua neighborhood. as you can see firefighters are on the scene here working to put out flames at this house fire on fairmount avenue. this is a live look at the scene. firefighters are having a difficult time trying to get a handle on this because it's so smoky out there and making conditions very difficult to see as the visibility's a little low right now. that's why they have the flashlights out there. just want to make sure they're putting out all the hot spots. also want to make sure nobody is inside this house. now, what we're hearing from police is that it's abandoned, so that's the good news there. but it's a row home, so certainly they want to make sure the fire doesn't spread to neighboring houses. want to make sure that everybody's been evacuated from that neighborhood. we're going to continue to stay out here. our photo journalist on the scene matt shafr is keeping a close eye on this and we'll check in with him throughout the morning. now to new video appears to show a dangerous case of road rage in hawaii. the footage shows a car slamming right into a truck not once, here it goes, twice. a witness says the truck cut off the car. the driver of the car said the truck had been tailgating him. he denies intentionally ramming the truck. no charges have been filed, but the truck driver told a witness he intends to press charges. defense secretary jim mattis is warning north korea this morning that the u.s. will never accept a nuclear north. mattis is in seoul, south korea, today to talk to leaders about north korea. he says the threat of the nuclear missile attack by the north is accelerating, but mattis vowed to defeat any attack. president donald trump will be in south korea next week as part of his 12-day trip to asia. the next step in building a border wall seems to be moving forward. the prototypes for the wall are being finished. over the next two months workers will test them using sledge hammers, torches and pick axes. the testing could lead to one prototype chosen or a combination of elements that would be used in the wall. history buffs have been poring over the thousands of newly released documents related to the assassination of president john f. kennedy, but many are disappointed that president trump vowed to pressure from the fbi and cia and decided not to release hundreds of files even though he said all of them would be out there. nbc's chris pallone has the story on this. >> reporter: historians and journalists say no bombshell in the dump of documents but there are some insights like fbi director j. edgar hoover fearing the american public might not believe lee harvey oswald was a lone shooter. hoover said he wanted something issued so he could convince the public that oswald is the real assassin. hoover also called the inexcusable that the dallas police department did little to prevent jack ruby from shooting oswald after the fbi warned oswald was a target. other revelations, the soviet union thought the association was a coup attempt by america's far right and worried it would ultimately be blamed. president trump ordered the documents to be released thursday night hours before a congress imposed deadline set 25 years ago. but some are upset trump bowed to pressure from intelligence agencies keeping about 300 files secret. >> this is a huge disappointment and a total mess. i mean, you can't imagine a more disorderly release of these documents about a turning point in american history. >> reporter: trump wrote, i have no choice but to accept those redaxs rather than allow potentially irreversible harm to our nation's security. a sentiment sure to give fuel to americans who believe the government is hiding something about the assassination. new deadline to release the remaining files is in six months. chris pallone, nbc news. today is the 14th annual prescription drug take back day. more than 4,000 tons of prescription drugs have been safely disposed of since the effort began. the goal is to get old or unwanted medications out of the house so they cannot be abused. there are hundreds of secure locations across the region. we're talking police stations, libraries, that kind of thing, where you can drop off the drugs. today, it will cost you a little more to play megamillions but you could also win bigger prizes, but chances of winning will go down. tickets will now cost $2 a piece up from $1. jackpots will begin at $40 million instead of $15 million. and there will be fewer white balls and more red balls and that will make it more difficult to win. megamillions says the changes will help it compete with powerball. all right. let's start with a really wide view of our radar and satellite so i can show you what is going to cause that sunday soaker that we are forecasting. right now fairly clear as we go throughout the day but otherwise dry. this is a cold front to our west, this is moving our direction. down to the south, way south, we're watching some tropical moisture. it's not a named storm yet but may become named as we go through today. regardless if it does, that moisture's going to come up this direction. those two combined are going to meet right over our area. and the result is we're looking at potential for heavy rain on our sunday and then very gusty conditions as we get into monday. look at the weather setup right now. there's the cold front i was talking about. we have warm air surging our direction. right now we're at 50, a mild start, by later today some of us will make it to the 70s. but this cold front earlier i had cool for the last cold fronts, i changed it to cold for this one. 23 in sioux city, we're at 29 right now in kansas city. that cold air is moving our direction. so we're going to see big changes as we get into the workweek. but for now 71 in philadelphia your afternoon high. 70 in the suburbs and 69 in delaware. just a mix of clouds and sun in the afternoon, mostly sunny. this is a very nice forecast for today. now let's talk about this, so here's the cold front heading our direction. remember we have the moisture going to shrink in from the south. this is at 6:30 this evening and there it is starting to come in from the south. then it starts to combine here. the question is if it's a little further that that moisture center sits to the east that would mean a little less rain for us, but it's a little closer our direction that means more rain for us. and watch as we go from shower chances sunday to spotty showers to more steady rain sunday afternoon. and then check this out, by sunday night heavy rain in the forecast. that heavy rain continues overnight just some lingering showers on your monday morning. and, yeah, that little pink indicates the possibility of maybe a little wintry mix farther north by monday morning because of much cooler air. so for the eagles forecast 65 degrees for us at 1:00 for kickoff, notice the chance of rain is persistent throughout the game. not going to be constant necessarily but on/off rain is possible and windy conditions as well. those strong guntsts will be focused right across our whole area. so we're talking high winds in monday morning and early afternoon that could lead to some downed tree limbs, some outdoor decor being knocked around or even some scattered power outages. let's talk a little more about this sunday soaker. just recap what i talked about. sunday afternoon at night is the heaviest rain. how much could we see? between 1 to 3 inches is possible at this point. strongest gusts sunday night into monday morning and gusts will be between 45 and 55 miles per hour. and wrap up with this so i can get in your halloween forecast here, cooldown by monday 56 only for the high. 58 tuesday afternoon, which means for the trick or treaters we're talking low 50s. might need a jacket with the costume. >> at least it will be dry. we'll take that. thanks, krystal. coming up, houston homecoming. the world series moves to the hurricane-ravaged city. and the players give the fans something to cheer about. the world series has moved from the glits and glamour of los angeles to a city still trying to get back on its feet following hurricane harvey. the astros and dodgers squared off in game three of the fall classic in houston. and the hometown crowd had plenty to cheer about right from the start. the astros jumped out to an early lead putding up four runs in the second inning. this is all they would need to win it. houston holds onto win 5-3. they are only the second team in major league history to win their first seven home games in the playoffs. the other team to do that, the 2008 phillies. the astros now lead the series 2-1. game four is tonight. the people of houston got quite a bit of inspiration just before the game when injured houston texans j.j. watt threw out the ceremonial first pitch on crutches. watt broke his leg earlier this month. following hurricane harvey, the nfl superstar started a fundraiser that brought in more than $37 million for relief efforts. the crowd gave him a standing ovation. all good news for the astros last night, major league baseball will investigate after a racist gesture appeared to have been made in the dugout after hitting a home run off of yu darvish. cameras caught this appearing to mark darvish's eyes. he is of japanese and iranian decent. he calls the move disrespectful. he will make a statement later today and apologize. now to breaking news in philadelphia mantua neighborhood. here's what we know, investigators are telling us it's an abandoned row home, but they're trying to make sure everybody in the neighborhood gets out. we're going to continue to follow this and have more details coming up in just minutes. from fields and factories they came looking for opportunity. they worked hard. we helped them work harder. they are the students of strayer university. for 125 years, we've supported as they've rewritten the future. and to all who seek their true potential, we say, let's get it, america. right now on "nbc10 news today," break in the case. a teenage suspect wanted in connection with the murders of two other teens turns himself in to police. carjacking crime spree. investigators are looking for the man who stole two cars and drove around with one of the victims for hours. we're talking to that victim exclusively. hear what he has to say about the ordeal. free and clear, tens of thousands of people are expected to take advantage of philly free streets today. how you can roam the roads of philadelphia without worrying about traffic. we're live in old city with those details. and the weather will certainly cooperate. we'll take it. good morning. this is "nbc10 news today." thanks for being with us. i'm rosemary connors. it's 6:30 on this saturday. so great weather today. we're going to start off with some sunshine. tomorrow we've got some storms. and that's why we've issued a first alert for the second half of our weekend. meteorologist krystal klei is here to explain and make sure you're prepared. krystal. >> yeah, so let's begin with that first alert. we've issued this first alert sunday through sunday night, so unfortunately that really does mean about half your weekend just because of the fact that for the entire area we're tracking potential for periods of heavy rain, some thunderstorms are possible alt though even without the thunderstorms the heavy rain is going to cause issues. strong wind gusts linger even into your monday morning. and localized flooding possible. all of this for your sunday. unfortunately means it's not the best day to be outside, unless that is you're rooting on the eagles and then, you know, put on the rain gear and still go for it. here's a look at radar and satellite for us currently and it's a fairly clear picture. mostly sunny to start today once that sun comes up near 7:30 a.m. this morning. look at the wide view though. this is a cold front moving our direction. and you know it's a cold, cold front because there's a little snow associated with it right now moving through ohio. now, i don't expect snow for us, but i do expect that cold front is going to merge with this tropical moisture. this is going to scoot up the east coast and as the two combine right over us tomorrow that's going to give us the likelihood of some heavy rain that could lead to that localized flooding. temperatures out there right now, let's go back to today because today looks so good. we are mild at 50 in philadelphia. 43 in atlantic city. allentown the same. wilmington, you're at 46. these temperatures starting out mild, also mean a mild afternoon. coming up in a few minutes talk more about what to expect for your saturday, when you can get outdoors. we'll also detail the expectations for sunday on into your next workweek. >> a lot to unpack. thanks for that, krystal. now back to that breaking news that we've been following for the past half hour or so. this is a live look from fair dlmz mount avenue in philadelphia's mantua neighborhood. you can see firefighters are right here on the scene. it appears they do have a better handle on the flames that ripped through the this row home. investigators tell us that the row home there on the end appears to be abandoned. good news there. however, as you can see it's right next to the neighboring row house. they want to make sure neighbors are out of the house, that nobody's inside. we're going to continue to follow this. at the moment no reports of any injuries. we will have updates right here on the air and on the nbc10 app. in other news this morning, a 16-year-old boy is in jail waiting to go before a judge before the murs of two other 16-year-olds in south philadelphia. brandon olivieri seen right here surrendered to police last night. investigators are still trying to determine the motive for the deadly shootings. olivieri didn't answer questions as he was led into police headquarters late yesterday. investigators say he shot and killed 16-year-old caleer miller and 16-year-old sal dinubeuile on tuesday night. people who know the victims tell nbc10 they were not friends. early friday morning the suspect's house was the target of gunfire. police in delaware are searching for a man and a car after a shooting and two carjackings. investigators say kalen jackson first shot into the wall of this wilmington apartment building during a fight. he stole keys and took off in a white chevy. then the next morning jackson is accused of carjacking richard bird in claimant. bird says he rode around with the wanted man for nearly two hours. >> i just followed his directions and tried to be as friendly with him as i could. probably most friendly kind of person to hijack your car that you'd ever want to meet. >> if you'd ever want to meet a carjacker. bird eventually got dropped off but didn't get to keep his car. he says jackson was mostly friendly to him and told him all the violence stemmed from a fight with an ex. here are some more details on the stolen car. bird's stolen car. it's a 2012 maroon kia sorento with delaware plate pc 422233. now a crash on atlanta county road took the life of a good samaritan trying to help strangers having some car trouble. crash happened early yesterday morning. kenneth stopped to help a man and his brother, their car had broken down. they were trying to push the car off the road when both were hit. the other man has only minor injuries. chivilette died at the scene. his ex-wife says he always helped people in need. >> always, always, i used to get mad at him when we were married for stopping and helping people but i guess that was his mission in life, help others. >> the driver has not been charged in the case. 6:35 right now on this saturday. philly free streets is about 8:30 this morning to kick off the event. and we know that major jim kenney's twoil goiactually goint a power walk and head north. the closures start here at chest nut and go up to third street, fourth street, germantown and fairhill. no cars allowed. all along this route you're going to have a lot of free events to check out, yoga, dancing, handball, you can even help paint a mural at fifth and somerset. it's the city's second experiment with this free streets event. this is the first time it will extend so far away from center city. most folks say it's a good chance to get out and explore. >> in europe they always close down city centers and they're completely pedestrian friendly. i think it's great. >> reporter: some concerned about traffic congestion, especially if you're trying to drive through these areas, so be careful if you are taking a car. you might remember that this whole thing started back when pope francis visited philadelphia back in 2015. many of the streets were actually closed for that because of safety concerns. but a lot of residents found it so fun to just walk around and take in the sights that this event has continued for two more years. today's the good day. it's the best out of the bunch here. mild conditions, mostly sunny, fairly dry, just a little breezy as we get into the afternoon. now, as we go into your sunday we're talking heavy rain, some spot thunderstorms possible and windy conditions really strengthening in the night lasting right on into monday with morning showers, windy conditions again and then cooler temperatures by monday afternoon. so the system is going to be a cold front and tropical moisture combining to cause all of those troubles for us. start with today, 50 degrees right now we'll be about 67 at your lumplg tinchtime, which isy warmer than average for this time of year. then make it to low 70s, 71 for forecast high across philadelphia neighborhoods. breezy as we get into the afternoon. again, like i mentioned, dry today. now we'll go to tomorrow and we're talking the eagles forecast. if you're heading to the linc, pack the rain gear, poncho possibly if you got it. i just bought one of those yesterday, it was cheap at target. grab one beforehand and still go out to watch that win. temperatures are going to be on the cooler side as the rain moves through. so we'll go 65 at kickoff and then lowering throughout the afternoon hours. periods of rain, pocket of heavy rain possible by late in the game. and windy conditions. we'll talk more about this sunday forecast coming up. eagles quarterback carson wentz continues to shine on and off the field. coming up, how his special bond with a brave little boy sparked an outpouring of support for kids battling cancer. i played a doctor today. let's get it. just about quarter to 7:00 on this saturday morning. and we continue to watch breaking news out of philadelphia's mantua neighborhood. this is a live look at the scene here of a row home on fire. we just got a few updates. one, the fire is officially under control. that's the good news. however, one person has been injured. unclear about their injuries. it appears though they are being treated at the scene, so maybe not so serious that they need to go to the hospital. nevertheless, we're going to continue to stay on top of this. the house where the fire started is said to be abandoned, vacant, but there are some reports from witnesses and neighbors to our photo journalist on the scene there, matt schafer, that squatters may have been in and out of there in recent days. so a lot for fire investigators to unpack this morning and uncover this morning. we're going to stay on top of it as i mentioned bring you updates right here on the air and on the nbc10 app. tomorrow marks the fifth anniversary of superstorm sandy slamming the jersey shore. 37 people were killed, $36 billion in damage left behind. governor chris christie says 85% of the recovery is complete, but he admits about 1,000 families are still not in their homes. so the work continues. tonight, thousands will light the night just outside of the philadelphia museum of art. more than 6,000 people are expected to participate in the leukemia and lymphoma society event. durgtd two-mile walk participants carried different colored lanterns to show their support for the fight against blood cancer. now to a follow-up about the touching story of eagles quarterback carson wentz and his special connection with a young boy. earlier this year wentz formed a bond with lukas battling cancer. the 10-year-old died in june. he still keeps in touch with the boy's family and wears a bracelet in his honor. they attended a monday night game when wentz proudly displayed the bracelet. his mother says because of wentz's support they've raised more than $140,000. the money goes to organizations that help families coping with childhood cancer. today, one of the largest rowing competitions in the world will begin in philadelphia's fairmount park. the head of the schuylkill rega regatta, the event runs through tomorrow. let's start by taking a live look outside. this is looking over cape may. what a beautiful picture we've got here. just a few clouds on the horizon, otherwise bright color ahead of sunrise. officially sunrise is just a few minutes ahead of 7:30 a.m. this morning. but already we're starting to see the glow on the horizon and it's a very pretty clear picture, right now. but look at radar and satellite. we've got two things that our eyes are on here. first, a cold front. and this cold front is going to move directly our way. then look way to the south. we've had some tropical moisture that's kind of building up. and it's going to start moving our direction. it's going to run along the east coast. but that moisture ahead of it is going to surge right over us, something we call atmospheric river, really it's like a river of tropical moisture movers our way. that means potential for heavy rain and flooding issues. that's exactly what we're worried about for tomorrow. look at the weather setup here. like i mentioned we have this cold front slicing in half, the eastern half of the country. warm air still over us, that's why we're in the 50s this morning. but look at areas like kansas city, sioux city, even areas like chicago and indianapolis where the cold air is just mixing in, down to the 30s this morning. that's moving our direction for a much colder forecast as we get into the workweek. but before the front passes, temperatures are on the mild side. today we are mostly sunny to partly cloudy in the late afternoon. and low 70s for many of us. look at tomorrow, low, mid 60s for many forecast high temperatures in philadelphia, 65 degrees. but there's the problem. it's that period of heavy rain we're forecasting going to lead to issues. tracking the storms, we're starting at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow. breezy conditions, some spotty showers starting to surround the area, which means leaves will be falling, they'll be wet and slick, temperatures will be mild as we begin your morning. as we get into the afternoon this is 1:00 so time for the game over at the linc, grab the rain gear because now we've got a little more widespread, possibly more steady rain moving through. there's the issue, the heaviest rain hitting late day into the overnight. this is more of a steady to soaking rain. it could lead to that localized street flooding. it's likely to continue into the night before it starts to clear out into your monday. so how much rain are we talking? well, models are still a little back and forth. typically between 1 to 3 inches. you see this is the american model. it gives philly right about 2 with higher amounts north and west. this is the area right here over the lehigh valley that is under a flash flood watch because of the heavy rain expected. and we'll wrap up with your wind gusts here. they're breezy for this afternoon and evening. as we go into tomorrow morning a little more gusty, but really those winds crank up late day tomorrow 35 to 45 miles per hour. and even into monday morning up to 55-mile-per-hour gusts which could lead to some damage. welcome to another installment of the high school blitz. history on the line as timber creek's devin leary had a chance to set the all-time for it's not quite 92 yards, but it gets the job done. a 42-yard strike to mike johnson, leary would end up tying the t.d. record set in the all-time passing record timber creek wins 35-10 and he did it
