Were starting to see jams on 95, the schuylkill expressway, some parts of new jersey on the 42 freeway. Right now we are taking a look at the xx examine on girard avenue. The eastbound lanes, all traffic moving. Lanes open, a 13minute drive time from the blue route to the vine street expressway. Average speeds of 59 miles per hour. The westbound lanes are doing okay as well. In Montgomery County on 422, everything is moving along there. You can see all of the roadways are green, eastbound from 29 up towards the schuylkill expressway. Thats where we typically see the jam in the morning time. Only about an eightminute trip. We are getting reports of a road obstruction still out in lower providence on Feather Bed Lane and woods edge road. Watch out for that. An accident scene out in upper merion, river road and east fourth street. Still 20 minutes delays for warminster, west trenton and doylestown for septa. Were following breaking news down the shore where some streets are flooded. Matt delucia joins us live. Tell us what youre seeing. Reporter well, tracy we rolled into town here just a few minutes ago an we saw a lot of flooding out here. Initially we were coming down because we heard about Power Outages as a result of a storm last night. You see right here, this is 12th avenue by central, the entire street is flooded. We do see as the streetlights are on, we do see homes have power at the moment but down here on the street, you can see at least a few inches of water. My photographer is walking through that right now to give you an idea of what people are experiencing as theyre driving through this area. On central avenue, it is not terribly bad but the vehicles are using the center lane out here. You see the side streets are heavy affected by this. A lot of the cars not going to be able to get out until the flooding goes down. I just got off the phone a few minutes before we went on the air, they say the flooding is the big issue. You see the emergency vehicles down the street there. They are still dealing with power outage issues as well. We did see a lot of lightning in this area. That is what this town is dealing with at the moment. Power outages and also a lot of flooding. Im told that the flooding has gone down quite considerably since this all started at 4 00 this morning. Well cross the street here. Again, you can see this area here along central is not too bad right here. This is new jersey avenue that were cross ofrg at the moment. You can see that the flooding is so intense that the storm drains are just bubbling up out here. And so its very intense situation, if you will, in terms of the flooding in this area. Very heavy winds, heavy storms came through last night. Garbage cans had been toppled over as well. Weve seen trash floating in the street. So far, no reports of any major injuries as a result of this. Well stay out here, give you another look in the next hour of the conditions that are out here. New from overnight, Philadelphia Police want to find the killer who ambushed a man as he sat in his car. Investigators say the victim was parked on longshore avenue in the mayfair section when the killer walked up and fired at least 12 shots. You see the bullet holes in the ka are there. Car but died on the sidewalk. As philadelphia prepares to welcome pope francis next month, septa is putting the Regional Rail tickets to the popes visit on sale again today. Monique braxton is live at the radnor septa station with what you need to know if you plan on picking up one of these passes. Monique, walk us through this. Hey, tracy. The radnor station is one of 15 select stations selling the special regional passes for the weekend the pope is in town. This is what the special oneday pass looks like. They go on sale today and will be the only septa fare accepted during the papal visit. When you arrive here, youre asked to bring your identification and if you have a valid medicare card, disability transit i. D. Or pennsylvania Senior Citizen transit i. D. The Regional Rail passes will allow riders to get on the train at one of 18 regional stops. You will get off at university city, 30th street or Jefferson Station which is on market street. Passengers may purchase ten passes, including one for the elderly or disabled. Children over the age of 5 must also have a pass. Now, the passes are 10, 5 if youre elderly or disabled or a classified Senior Citizen in pennsylvania. We want to remind you, according to septa, bicycles will not be permitted. Previously septa had offered the passes online. You may remember the first time the system was shut down. Theyve offered them a second time but they still have plenty of regional passes for sale. Septas spokesperson tells us this weekend there will be extended hours here at the radnor station and 14 other Regional Rail stations. Make sure you go to nbc10. Prosecutors are withholding the girls name for now. They say shes from berlin borough. Last week she said she shot a 21yearold pennsauken man in camden. He died in the hospital yesterday. No word on a motive. In cumberland county, a grand jury cleared two Police Officers of any wrongdoing in the Fatal Shooting of a man during a traffic stop last december. She mec your hands. The panel believed that the officers knew reed once fired on Law Enforcement and police said they did find a gun in the glove box of the car. Reed was not holding the gun when the officer shot him. Clearing skies, well see sunshine, drying out and the flooding will subside. Less humid air starting to arrive today will be staying for the weekend. 67 in reading, philadelphia, 75 degrees. A heartbreaking scene in Washington State. A procession of emergency vehicles escorted the bodies of the three firefighters killed while fighting a fire. Their truck crashed and were overcome by flames. Firefighters on the front line face another dangerous day ahead as several wildfires begin to merge, burning an area of land about the size of seattle. Soaring temperatures and strong winds will likely cause the flames to spread in Eastern Washington state. Its going to take some time for those clouds to clear out but they will be heading out during the day as the showers, the thunderstorms have already moved out of the area. Were looking for less humid conditions during the day today. Well see those humid conditions stay low for the weekend as well. Right now, the radar showing some scattered showers just offshore for most of the area. The heavy downpours are still in portions of ocean county. You can see the bright white clouds, thec storms. Theyve already cleared philadelphia, those thicker clouds. With less humid air moving in, we have a nice day shaping up clearing skies, a warm afternoon. Middle to upper 80s today. For the eighth time this year, tsa agents stopped a passenger for trying to carry a loaded gun on to a plane at Philadelphia International airport.
