The very heavy rainfall in the mt. Laurel area and radar is detecting the potential for hail. Add to that quite a bit of lightning as these storms move to the east. The storms are going to be fast movers as they move right on offshore. But at 40 miles an hour, theyll be in the pemberton area in just ten minutes, rolling through browns mills at 5 49 this morning. The threat of storms this morning with damaging winds and a possibility of more storms with damaging winds this afternoon. Theres one more area were watching at this time. Its moving towards delaware. The showers and thunderstorms that are in the Baltimore Area are going to be also moving very quickly and potentially into delaware into the new castle area by just before 7 00 this morning. Heavy downpours, already warnings in effect to the west. You can see the heavy showers and thunderstorms just moving through the Baltimore Area right now. The drive times are still doing okay though we dont have to worry about that yet. We done the have heavy traffic. A 13minute drive time headed eastbound in this direction up towards the center city area. Were on the scene of breaks news in west philadelphia. Police cruiser an a taxi crashed earlier this morning. Crews have just cleared the cars away from the scene. Nbc 10s matt delucia is live there. Hes been there all morning. You have an update on the officer and the taxi driver. What can you tell us . The officer and the other two people who were in that taxi cab were taken to the hospital early this morning just before 3 00 when that crash happened. According to police they were stable, just reported minor injuries mostly just pain as a result of this crash. Within the past 30 minutes both the Police Cruiser and taxi cab were hauled away from the scene. It happened at 56th and haverford. You can see now, a vast difference of what we saw a half hour ago when this was still covered with police activity. Youre looking at video now. Thats what the scene looked like this morning. The officer, police tell me, was responding to a call for a person with a gun. Lights and siren were apparently on according to police. The next line of storms that has the potential for some damaging winds in delaware is moving through maryland. The storms moving to the eve at 40 miles an hour which means this line of storms possibly in smyrna and middletown. In middletown area by 6 23 and smyrna could see them just before 6 30 this morning.
