A man was shot in the face around 10 30 last night. He is in Critical Condition. S. W. A. T. Members, k9 units, and helicopters swept through a wooded area looking for suspects. So far there are no arrests in this case. Today civil rights advocates will meet in philadelphia for the start of the naacps 106th National Convention. All three suspects turned themselves in yesterday. According to investors, the teens stole the flag from a home on wednesday after vandalizing the homeowners truck and boat. We have some new information on six former Police Officers cleared of corruption charges. The Philadelphia Inquirer reports the six have won their jobs back through arbitration. The paper says mayor Michael Nutters Office Confirmed the report. They were acquitted in may. Only on 10 was it street justice or was it some kind of a misunderstanding . Thats what police are trying to determine after some neighbors in south philadelphia beat up a man whom they say tried to kidnap children. Weve blurred the mans face as police have not charged him with a crime or named him as a suspect. Paramedics treated him at the scene at beulah and porter streets last night. A group of neighbors claimed he tried to abduct a 6yearold and 4yearold. Police tell us the man asked the children to buy something for him at the corner store. Thats when a fight broke out. The man left the store but several people gave chase and caught him. Beating him up. Im afraid theyre going to kill him. They was trying to hold him but he was so bloody they didnt want to get nothing if he has something. Police did not arrest anybody involved in the chase or assault. Police tell us theyre not sure of the mans real intention, but we will keep you posted on any new developments in the story. Federal agents have now raided two Lehigh Valley city halls in the past week. Our cameras followed fbi agents in reading yesterday. They appeared to be focused on the office of mayor vaughn spencer. Immigration blasted the sheriff after the immigrant was released on a technicality in april. The sheriff is firing back now saying that federal officials knew that a court order was required to hold anybody for deportation. This morning there are new disturbing details about the man charged in a South Carolina church massacre. The gunman dillylann roof should not have been able to purchase the weapon he used. There were background check flaws that allowed him to purchase the weapon. This investigation began with a drugrelated arrest of roof weeks before the killing. According to authorities, roof has admitted to opening fire inside the Church Killing nine people. New this morning, egyptian Officials Say an explosion in downtown cairo outside the italian consulate killed at least one person. A civilian and Police Officer were also hurt. Investigators say a bomb went off early this morning damaging several floors of the building. According to officials, the consulate was closed at the time and no Staff Members were injured. During the subsequent investigation, police tell us the victim confirmed two other encounters in cross car starting in february and, quote, passionate kissing in her classroom. As far as the weather disturbance which you know is going to pretty much drift to the south of our area a few of the light showers moving into parts of the area. Youll notice most of it is tracking well off shore mainly heading to the southeast. So these light showers are moving into parts of Atlantic City. Excuse me.
