The company this morning said that as a result of flooding between Motherwell and Lockerbie all lines are blocked, both north and southbound. Rail replacement buses are currently operating between Carlisle and Preston, Carlisle and Edinburgh, Carlisle and Glasgow, in both directions, "until further notice". A spokesman said: "Services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed up to 70 minutes or revised. "Disruption is expected until the end of the day." The company has put out the following customer advice: London North Eastern Railway are conveying passengers between London Kings Cross and Edinburgh in both directions until further notice.
