Warm weather, cautious consumer spending lead to 68% drop in Canadian Tire profit

TORONTO — Canadian Tire Corp. Ltd. saw its profit drop about 68 per cent in the key holiday shopping quarter as a tougher economic environment and an unseasonably warm winter put a damper on consumer spending.
