A 50yearold pilot of the cessna 206 aircraft was killed yesterday morning when the plane went down near the border of West Caldwell and fairfield. It happened just about a half mile from the Essex County Airport where the plane had taken off just a few moments earlier. The pilot was headed to teterboro when hes ared something was wrong a he rrmsed something was realized something was wrong and tried to circle back. The ntsb is working now to determine what caused that crash. Breaking overseas where indonesian officials are searching for a plane that lost contract with air Traffic Control there. The longtime Board Chairman of the naacp died last night in florida after whats being described as a brief illness. He was born in 1940 in nashville, tennessee. His legacy is huge. He was on the front lines of so many protests decades ago. He also served in the state legislature in georgia for 20 years. The country has lost one of its most passionate and eloquent voices for the cause of justice. A Police Officer there was shot outside of a Government Security building. Investigators say two people attacked the officer while he was doing roundser this morning at the interior Ministry Complex grabbing his gun and shooting him. The officer is expected to survive. Special Security Forces searched the building but could not find those suspects. Police are investigating a crash that killed three people on the taconic state parkway in westchester county. Four cars were involved in this crash in yorktown around 3 00 yesterday afternoon. Police say an suv driving northbound lost control, hit annual embankment and an embankment and then went airborne. It crashed in the southbound lane striking three other cars. Three people passed away in this. Their names have not yet been released. One person remains in critical condition. Five others in stable condition at the hospital. A brooklyn family is mourning the loss of a little boy who was found unresponsive in the waters off of a queens beach. It left beachgoers quite shaken. Helicopters and First Responders swarmed the beech in Rockaway Park yesterday afternoon. It was the first indication actually most families had on the beach that anything had gone wrong. Rescue crews were searching for 5yearold ezekiel gray who somehow slipped away from his family. An offduty lifeguard found the little boy unresponsive there in the water. They were trying hard to revive him. They were unsuccessful. They brought him to the boardwalk, tried again. The man accused of abducting a teenage girl in queens is being treated this morning for what police say are selfinflicted stab wounds. 1yearold Michelle Jimenez is safe this morning after being dropped off on a Street Corner hours boyfriend kidnapped her at knife point. Eyewitnesses say 21yearold Jonathan Coronel followed a crying jimenez into a shoe repair shop in East Elmhurst where he pulled out a knife.
