WA enters snap 4-day lockdown while Darwin extends lockdown by 72 hours By Imogen Bailey | 29 June 2021 Western Australian regions of Perth and Peel have entered a four-day lockdown, after the Western Australian's circuit-breaker lockdown took effect from 12.01am this morning. The lockdown was introduced as the state recorded its third positive COVID-19 case of the highly infectious Delta variant, which is linked to the Sydney outbreak. The stay-at-home order permits WA residents four reasons to leave home: work that cannot be done from home, shopping for essentials, attending medical appointments or getting a COVID vaccine or compassionate care, and exercise for one-hour 5kms from home.
