CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (seminoles.com) — A double-double performance from junior Morgan Jones helped the Florida State women’s basketball team (6-4, 5-4) in their third straight road game to beat North Carolina (8-8, 3-8), 61-51, on Thursday evening at Carmichael Arena. The win marked the Seminoles sixth straight win over North Carolina in a streak that dates back to a 94-63 home win on Feb. 14, 2016. It is also Florida State’s first victory on the road since winning at Virginia Tech earlier this season. “I’m just so proud of what we were able to do tonight,” FSU interim head coach Brooke Wyckoff said. “On the road again after a two-game skid and without Kourtney Weber; the rest of our players found a way to gut this one out.”
