Melody Burri Daily Messenger freelancer VICTOR — A record turnout is possible as village residents cast their votes for mayor and two trustees in contested races. Six candidates will compete for three open village seats in the election on March 16. Facing off against multi-term incumbent Mayor Gary Hadden is challenger Jen Arena. And hoping to replace incumbent trustees Michelle Chalupa and Michael Crowley are challengers Corey Kelley and Jen Tipton. “We want to bring the village government to the people,” stated Arena on behalf of her running mates, who call themselves "Everyday People." “We want to open the village government so that every resident feels they have a voice in today’s plans, and a say in the future vision for the village of Victor and its people,” she said.
