Article content The Grade 11 and 12 English classes at Villa Française des Jeunes (VFJ) will be hosting a virtual concert ‘Mieux Ensemble – Better Together’ on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. The concert will be broadcast on Eastlink’s Channel 10, as well as on VFJ’s Facebook page. It will run a second time on Eastlink’s Channel 10 on Saturday at 7 p.m. VFJ principal Christian Giroux says the students were unable to hold a Christmas concert in December because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so they opted to hold a virtual concert this week. Dominique Jean, VFJ’s Grades 11 and 12 English teacher as well as her integrated arts class, says the concert will have students performing from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. The JK to Grade 2 students will do a dance number; the Grades 3 to 5 students will do an African dance; the Grades 6 to 8 will perform a skit that they wrote and is called ‘Better Together.’ They will also perform ‘bucket beats’ percussion music and playing on trash cans.
