If Iowa has a voice, it probably sounds just like Van Harden's.
For 34 years, he's taken his seat in front of the mic at Des Moines' WHO-AM radio at 5 a.m. each weekday for his four-hour drivetime show. For another 10 years, until 1984, he was an on-air personality at KRNT. And before that, he began broadcasting while still a student at Drake University.
