Local roundup: Hanover’s Stocken shuts down Sunapee

NORWICH — The Hanover High baseball team rode six innings of four-hit Wes Stocken pitching and made the most of limited offensive opportunities to earn a 3-2 win over Sunapee on Tuesday at the Dresden Athletic Fields diamond, completing a two-game sweep of the Lakers.
Stocken, a junior, struck out four, walked one and didn’t allow a run after Sunapee (0-2) scored in the top of the second inning to erase an early Hanover run. Junior Josh Bucci worked the seventh for the save, allowing an unearned run.
