UNITY — A COVID-19 outbreak at Sullivan County nursing home has grown to include 18 people, according to the facility’s administrator.
Thirteen residents and five workers at Sullivan County nursing home had tested positive for COVID-19 as of Friday, up a total of four from the week before, Ted Purdy, the administrator, wrote in an update posted to social media.
But the facility has had no new positive results since Friday, “which is very encouraging,” he said in a Monday email.
The outbreak has forced the facility to pause visitation until it goes for two weeks without new positive results, Purdy said. Full personal protective equipment is in use on the affected units, MacConnell and Stearns.
