Vallejo to get $26M in federal American Recovery Act funds VALLEJO — An aerial ladder fire truck and replenishing reserves are on the list of what Vallejo will use part of the $26.2 million in one-time federal American Rescue Plan funding – the first half of which is expected in July or August. The funding is intended “to support local government agencies in their recovery from the economic impact the Covid-19 pandemic,” city officials said in a statement released Tuesday. The funds were secured by U.S. Rep. Mike Thompson, D-St. Helena. The city indicated that it had “deferred important purchases and maintenance to ease the financial impact of the pandemic,” and these funds will help backfill those delayed needs.
