British competition watchdogs want to take a closer look at the environmental friendliness of some household products of the consumer goods group Unilever. The maker of Dove soap and the detergent brand Cif may be exaggerating when it comes to claims about the sustainability of certain products, the regulator CMA said. "We will be reviewing these claims to see if they are true," said CMA chief Sarah Cardell. The move is part of a wider investigation by UK authorities into greenwashing.
