On May 13, the Solomianskyi District Court in Kyiv held a preliminary hearing in the first trial of a commander in the Russian army, Vadim Shishimarin, after the start of the “special operation” launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine on February 24. According to “Sudovyi Reporter” (The Court Reporter), up to 30 Russian combatants are about to be tried for alleged crimes against civilians during the war. Shishimarin’s indictment will be released on Wednesday, May 18.
