A win at a recent tech competition netted two Middle Bucks Institute of Technology students $240,000 in scholarships and other prizes. Seniors Ryan Pressman and Timothy Logan Kirby took the school to first place in the 2021 Greater Philadelphia Auto Technology Competition, held virtually this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. The competition saw 24 seniors from 12 area high schools competing for a total $1 million in the 28-year-old contest organized by the Auto Dealers of Association of Greater Philadelphia, a news release from association said last week. The competition tested the student’s mechanical aptitude, math and computer skills by answering 159 questions in two hours covering nine categories, including engine repair and steering and suspension systems.
