Saturday marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, a federal statutory holiday to recognize, reflect on and commemorate the legacy of residential schools, and several local events are planned. 

The City of Owen Sound will officially unveil the Kelso Beach at Nawash Park sign Saturday morning beginning at 9:30 a.m., followed by the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony and Fire at the Gichi-Name Wiikwedong Reconciliation Garden.
