Tripura targeting to generate 500 MW renewable energy sources by 2030, says CM

The Tripura government aims to generate 500 MW of renewable energy by 2030 to meet future energy requirements, according to Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha. The state's renewable energy development agency has targeted the installation of solar grid power, floating solar, rooftop solar, and microgrid solar to achieve this goal. The government has also signed an MoU with the National Thermal Power Corporation to install a 130 MW floating solar plant. The power requirement in Tripura is expected to increase to 2,648 million units by 2031-32.
