our newsroom... surveillance showing a man police say... is very dangerous and they want to get off the streets after he killed a dog in cold blood and tried to do the same to two people. we spoke with police a short time ago... they tell us he broke into a house on eastern avenue back in december. while there, investigators say he didn't want any witnesses ..... so he shot a young man in the leg.. then, turned the gun on that victim's mother, shooting her twice... then he killed the family dog. after that.. cops say he pointed his semi-automatic hand gun at point blank range in the face of the antoher man, but by that time he was out of rounds. based on his actions and the things he did it leaves no doubt in my mind that one of the things he wanted to do was that he didn't want to leave any identifying victim. i think if he would have had more rounds in that gun he would have killed one the house" crime stoppers if you have information that could help police - call crime stoppers... 513-352- 30-40.. a middletown mom's death... is now a homicide. brittany russell was found shot to death in dayton with the baby in the car. dissolve mb we spoke to the babysitter .. who was among the last to see her alive. . michael baldwin is in middletown and michael what did she say was brittany's demeanor when she last saw her. tricia she tells me she was happy. she was acting like a mom. we are here at the middletown police station. they are the ones who returned the baby back home. unfortunaly without her mother. family and friends say will be missed. a friend tells me this is a picture of brittany russell and chris edwards around the time they first became a couple two years ago. out of that love came this 6 now back in the hands of her dad after being left in the car in dayton with her mother who was shot to death, and found this morning. how, why, she didn't do anything to deserve this. this woman is tracy short pence, she was babysitting for chris when brittany came by to pick up haven. brittany lost custody of her but tracy tells me that didn't stop her from being an awesome mom. so she come over to the house one day and they watched the game together. and that's what the baby had on. the baby had her little onesy. and they watched the game together tracy told me every sunday during the season that was a ritual. raising haven to one day say who dey. she also explained to me that brittany was battling her demons with substance abuse but was making a comeback. she went to middletown high school and was a bartender for her mother. no matter her problems her children were her world and she can't understand who i think its terrible. its sad to do something like this with the baby in the car who does that and that's what police want to know. after brittany picked up haven at some point she drove to dayton. she didn't come back when she was suppose to and the family got worried. chris the babies father drove to dayton looking for her. when he couldn't find her he called the police. sadly, she was found dead. now the question is the who and the why? its unclear how long the baby was in the car before police found her. we have been told as cold as it is out here the heat was on in the car. tonight the baby is with her middletown michael baldwin fox 19 now. weather now turning to weather now -
