out if the body found along the potomac river today is that of a missing mother or perhaps her daughter. that body was spotted around 2:30 this afternoon by crews searching via helicopter and it is right near loch 6 of the canal. that mother and her teenage daughter disappeared on monday after being pulled under in the river. repair work being done at the jefferson memorial will strengthen the foundation of the sea wall. that wall has been slip ago way from the memorial plaza for years now and alex trevino has the details on the project. >> this is an international icon. >> reporter: people from all over the world visit the jefferson memorial. but this year tourists have to stroll around the construction site on the visit. >> it is to remove basically the timber piling that's were installed in 1967 and 1970 to hopefully shore up the sea wall. >> reporter: crews are replacing the old timber with steel beams to support the sea wall. preserving this part of the plaza is a project that's been in need since the national park service noticed the sea wall sinking four years ago. officials were concerned visitors were at risk. >> there is obviously a tripping hazard there, and when the project is finished, the concern will go away. >> and the concern for the tourist is getting the picture without the construction mess in front of the jefferson memorial. >> the construction takes away the beauty of the washington monument when the tourists are taking a picture of the jefferson memorial, they have to take a picture that way and the construction blocks it out. you see the little nets, the three nets, it's terrible for the picture. >> reporter: the park service said the jefferson memorial is on solid foundation and does not shift. work is expected to be complete before next
