Its not clear what hes accused of doing just yet. Our sister station reports Police Used Tear Gas to keep protestors from approaching interstate10. Around midnight a helicopter captured the back up where part of the highway was shut down. Black lives matter more have planned for the weekend and prepared d. C. Police accordingly to handle those demonstrations. Turning to the latest in louisiana and minnesota where black men were shot by police this week. Law enforcement had a large crowd of protestors on the streets of baton rouge where alton sterling was shot and killed outside of a convenience store. In st. Paul demonstrators demanded justice for philando castile. So how do you talk to your kids about Police Brutality and recent shootings of officers in dallas. In southeast d. C. Parents are having tougher conversations with their kids than they ever have before about race, safety and injustice a few subjects. Paul says as a black man he has to shield his child in a way others may not have to. I talk to her about whats going on out here in the streets as far as knowing the law and being able to recite the law back to police. At five years old . Yeah i have to. At one child clinical psychologist we spoke to says listen to your answer their questions. So both tomorrow and monday temperatures back in the 80 eyes humidity levels dropping off as well and by tuesday and wednesday bringing back those temperatures that are warmer and also more humidity. Press have identified the johnson who did one tour of duty in afghanistan. Following a lengthy stand off Police Killed johnson when talks said to have failed. The search of his house revealed rifles, bomb making materials and a personal material of combat techniques. Several others were taken in for custody but Police Believe he acted alone. President obama called it vicious, calculated and despicable. The president is rerouteing to dallas early next week. In Atlanta Georgia several thousands demonstrators flooded the streets and brought traffic to a stand still around centennial olympics park. No reports of violence there. Good morning. Nick, later today there will be a vigil here and we can expect this growing memorial to get even bigger at that time. You have the wreaths but also flowers, candles that have been burned. There is a patch from the city of new york a similar one from metro transit just across this plaque here from maryland, virginia and d. C. Growing more as people are learning about those five officers that were killed in dallas and everyone is grieving with them. Four of them were fathers, one was a grandfather and also a newly wed. Brent thompson worked dallas area Rapid Transit and had just married another transit officer just two weeks ago. 40yearold michael krol just moved from dallas to michigan because he wanted to join the Dallas Police department. 30yearold Patrick Zamarripa joined the navy out of high school, three tours in iraq and now wont get to see his two yearold daughter grow up. Same story for 55yearold Michael Smith who has two daughters and was close to retirement. And the fifth officer 48year old lorne irones after working for a decade. The families are hurting and the hurt is being felt across the country including here in d. C. Im pretty emotional having lost so many officers in dallas. Puts on the uniform every day and go out on duty protecting peoples rights to protest. And to be that, thats a special kind of hurt. And back here live, a lot of people again having those personal connections and ties to what happened. You can see cards and read this earlier but theres no greater love than one who gives their life for the protection of others. We expect people to be out here at 8 00 p. M. New information this morning on the young man from Fairfax County badly injured in an explosion in new york citys central park. The family of connor golden says hes in Good Condition after under going amputation below the left knee. He plans to return to Northern Virginia for follow up treatment and recovery.
