A few minutes after that, Police Rushed back to the apartment and brought out the babys mother. Earlier in the day we all followedup this amber alert where we learned this six week old baby liz catomb was considered to be in extreme danger. We hit the road and went door to door talking to people seeing if anybody knew this mother and we stumbled upon someone who did. Not only did this man know the mother, he believed he knew where she was holed up with this six week old baby. We called put journalism on the back burner for the moment and let police do their job. We were here on scene in hyattsville when police went in, as you saw in that very dramatic video and, again, the baby is in Good Condition, the mother is in jail tonight awaiting extradition, awaiting charges of parental abduction. We also learned from sources and from documentation that this is not the first time flora catomb has been under cps scrutiny. She has had four other children taken from her and her parental rights terminated, something that he was appealing in the court system. We dont know the circumstances. We do know that the baby looked to be in very good health tonight. As you could probably see in that video, it was difficult to witness whether she did something wrong or not to see a woman sobbing, screaming my baby has been taken away, my baby has been taken away. I had knocked down her door earlier and she told me happening. She fully expected to be in Court Tomorrow at 2 00 p. M. , perhaps to get her baby back. Obviously, thats not happening. She is facing very serious charges after this very disturbing amber alert and the search not just for the mother and baby, but the search for a missing van.
