It wouldnt be a memorial to chuck brown if there wasnt some music involved. Yes. Good music. Even if you have a venue like that, they usually shut it down at 11 00, so its like theyre going to 4 00. It will work. 48 the high today, temperatures falling and the rain turning to snow north and west of town but primarily a wet commute home. Lets start with a love look outside, our michael and son weather cam. A live look outside, our live weather cam brought to you by michael and son. Temperatures are down to 40 at national, winds north, northeast 13. The area of low pressure is getting offshore giving us those north, northeast winds and thats what nor easters do, brings us a little colder air, but temperaturewise its still above freezing. 35 in germantown snowing, 37 ashburn, a mix, 37 dulles with a mix, 37 fairfax, 40 in arlington, 40 downtown, 39 college park and 307 at andrews. Not compact 37 at andrews, not exactly arctic air pouring in. Heres radar, gradually less green, more magenta and white, the snow moving in. Well zoom in a bit. Were still looking at a little mixture. As you go up 270 essentially past rockville getting closer moving down 270 and out toward fairfax and Loudoun County, a little sleet mixing in as well, but with temperatures above freezing its going to be hard to accumulate. Got a report out in round hill in western Loudoun County, a little bit on the grass. Its about all we can celebrate this winter. Wet drive home, no accumulations in the immediate metro area, some snow well north and west, temperatures still above freezing and north and west a trace to maybe an inch mainly on the grasses out toward round hill and maybe leesburg and gaithersburg and frederick, but thats about it, not looking for a big system. Heres a look at futurecast. 6 00 tonight mixture, gaithersburg north pretty good. Well advance it 8 30. Now were to i95 north and west with snow, heaviest precipitation moving off because the storm is pushing out to sea. By 10 00 maybe still leftover snow, essentially north and west of i95. You folks in southern maryland, looks like all rain la plata south and a little mixture into 11 30 maybe for annapolis briefly and boom, its gone. We see clearing skies as we get into the Early Morning hours. So 28 to 36 tonight, rain and or snow ending before midnight, no accumulate in the metro, wind northwest 10 to 15. Morning pretty nice, partly cloudy, cold. I could see a couple slick spots way out toward Frederick County and Loudoun County early, otherwise temps in the 30s and 40s and high temps around 50, partly cloudy, pleasant, light jacket a good idea, dont need a heavy coat. Next three days 9 weather alert green, terrific thursday, afternoon showers possible friday but a small price to pay, if 54 for the high. Snow showers are possible saturday, temperatures essentially steady, highs near 40. Next seven days even colder sunday, temperatures in the low 30s, snow showers still possible and it still appears a storm will develop out to sea. Then were 50 again on monday, rain, 50 tuesday, a little colder wednesday and a slight chance rain could end in snow tuesday night.
