We are following two breaking news stories from overnight. A rescue operation is under way in taipei, taiwan after a plane crashed into a river. A driver post add photo on twitter posted a photo on twitter of a transasia plane hitting the bridge as it crashed into the water. Rescuers have spent hours pulling 58 passengers and crew off the plane. So far 15 people are known dead. The crash happened just after airport takeoff from the airport in taipei. No word yet on what may have caused it. At least seven people are dead after a metronorth commuter train slammed into an suv that was stopped on the trucks in valhalla, new york. Thats roughly 30 miles north of manhattan. The victims include the driver of that suv and six people on the train who were in the front car. 12 other passengers were injured. When i heard the extent of the damage to the first car and i saw it had burned completely, i couldnt even imagine how many people were in there that had lost their lives. Faculty and staff will also have to give back their 2 cost of living increase. They say his education cuts will be felt in classrooms across the state. Governor hogans budget dramatically reduces funding for larger jurisdictions like montgomery and prince georges county. His press secretary says the governor had to make tough choices because there just wasnt enough money to pay the bills. The president of the state Education Association says the plan apartments to roughly amounts to roughly 144 million in reductions. House Speaker John Boehner and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi have come together on vaccines. Both say children should be vaccinated against measles and other diseases. More than 130 cases of measles in 14 states are now linked to disneyland in california.
