He faces up to life in prison if convicted of the charges. The trial was scheduled to begin june 29th and the defense asked for more time so that a dna expert could examine evidence in the case. Reporter these bikes are priced at around 5000 each and they were taken in broad daylight this weekend. Surveillance video captured the first ride his own bike. He dropped the bike, went in the garage and came out with a 5000 bike and road that away. A minute later, two young men did the same thing. Road up on their own bikes, abandoned them, and went into the open garage and only one of the suspects came out. The third individual took off on one of the previous bikes. Less than a year after the attack on actor frank britain, Transit Police say elijah smith argued on an escalator. He spit on the man and then punched him once, twice, and then a third time, knocking him out and nearly sending him tumbling down the escalator. The attack shocked metro riders are you kidding me . Holy cow. Reporter the victim in the earlier attack is still shaken and declined comment telling his facebook friends he did not know smith was out of jail until he heard about the warrant for his arrest. His thoughts are with the victim in the escalator assault. A judge ordered smith held with no bond. The teen appeared calm, smiling, almost cocky in handcuffs and leg irons. His girlfriend, nicole smith was in the d. C. Courtroom with her child to support him. They suggested he beat up somebody else in Montgomery County. Didnt happen. The judge said that was plenty of probable cause to order him held. Prosecutors say the actor was never able to i. D. Him in the Silver Spring attack a year ago. Britain says three men robbed him and smith is the only one arrested in the case. The director of the 911 center has resigned. The heaviest is between manassas and dale city. Everything is moving to the southeast at 28 miles per hour. It will move through town, over the airport and across i95.
