A big response today to a home in arlington where police were told someone had invaded a huge mansion along chambridge road where they found a stolen car in the driveway. But after that, the story gets sketchy. The home is owned by a multimillionaire and police say they have been called there before on numerous occasions. This time a female guest called them when two men she did not know entered the home. For a variety of reasons, being from drug activity to reported allegedly having a number of valuable art pieces stolen, so theres an extensive history of those responding to the residents. Very bizarre. At this point, police have not charged anyone with the incident. Pope francis offers up his surprising reviews on evolution. That story is just coming up. And after the break, a big time donation to keep the playground at d. C. General up and running and you can help, too. Just call 2028955560. And as we head into break, a look at some of those gas prices not driving us nearly as crazy these days. You can fill up for just 2. 98 a gallon at the b. P. Located at 4101 alabama avenue southeast. We all know washingtons broken. But to fix it, it takes people who are independent. And willing to work across the aisle. Thats what ive tried to do in business, as your governor. And in the senate. Because its the only way were gonna solve big problems. Like cutting our national debt, fixing the va, or. Bringing good jobs to virginia. Its been a great honor to represent you. And if you rehire me, ill work everyday. To make virginia even stronger. Play is important for all children. And thats why the Homeless Children play time project, the Greater Washington board of trade and pepco all teamed up to make a playground possible for the children living at the d. C. General shelter. Joining me now, pepco holding, she is the Vice President for Corporate Citizenship and social responsibility. Its a mouthful. But we know that you do good things in the community. And so i guess the question is, why did pepco decide that this mission to help Children Play was so important that you put this much money behind it . First of all, safety is a number one core value for pepco. Safe and reliable electric service. But also about the community and wanting to help keep safe everyone who lives within the community. So, when we went to visit Kevin Fitzgerald and myself went to d. C. General to visit Homeless Childrens play time project and what they were doing there. The conversation was around the need for safe play outside. And when we saw, we decided we needed to support. And thats what we did. And so we have been side by side with Homeless Childrens play time project for the past year and a half or so. Working to help get this playground built. Its one thing to make a commitment in word. Its quite another to make it indeed. And the you have come here today to make a significant donation to the Homeless Childrens play time project. We should bring in our chief defender of play. Who is the cofounder and executive director for the Homeless Childrens play time project. Youre always fine when people want to give you money. And so debbie, you want to make a presentation now. I do. One thing i want to say is this has been a collaboration wins effort from pepco to the board of trade and the many businesses who already stepped up and then d. C. Government. We cant forget them as well. But, for pepco, our contribution for 2014 is in the amount of 25,000 as you know. So 25,000 to help make sure there is safe, supervised play for the children. And coming in 2015, we are giving another 25,000 to ensure that the safe play continues. That is our commitment. Thats our commitment to the community. 50,000. Absolutely. Thank you so much. Be right there with you. Thank you so much. Pepco really has been with us every step of the way and such an amazing example of the business communities. Deb
