Those seven countries are iran, iraq, libya, somalia, sudan, syria, yemen. Saturdays protests erupted at airports. Travelers were detained. Citizenship or if you have a green card and youre from the seven banned countries going forward, you will be allowed to enter the u. S. The department of Homeland Security issued a statement that says theyll continue to enact the president s order and theyll also comply with judges orders. Tonight president don other ways to help those suffering from syrias bloody civil war. Trump says in a statement that america is a proud nation of immigrants. Old says the country will continue hes the country will continue he says the country will continue to show compassion to shows fleeing oppression while protecting its border. The president says its not a muslim ban and blames the media for that suggestion and says the u. S. Will continue issuing visas to all impacted countries after a review of security policies. Earlier today white house chief of staff was on face the nation defending the ban against travelers from seven majority muslim countries. They hundred 25,000 foreign travel 325,000 foreign travelers came into the United States yesterday, but 109 of those people were detained for further questioning because they came from the identified seven countries administration and both houses of congress have identified as being countries that harbor and train terrorists. They were asked questions. The vast majority of all those people were released. About a couple dozen people remained for further questioning and my suspicion is those people will move on as long as theyre not dangerous and if perhaps a couple of them will be further detained because its determined that theyre dangerous for this country. As part of our city, your voice, our conversation about the first 100 days of the trump administration, were listening to you on all of our platforms. Shawn says we are a nation of immigrants. Now that doesnt mean there wont be slick spots. There could even be School Delays with some of the areas that get some heavier snow totals, 1 1 2 inches, maybe 2, not a lot, but it could be enough, especially west where its colder. With 1 1 2 to 2 inches, almost for frederick on the rpm. There will be some light accumulations here, potentially 1, maybe 2 inches in some of those favorite areas to the southwest and southeast of d. C. 28 to 34 tonight. Light snow is developing, coating to 2 inches by 7 a. M. Again, i think most of us will see less than an inch. 28 to 36 tomorrow morning. Snow ends early, maybe by daybreak, if not before, partly sunny, breezy and cold with a few snow showers in the afternoon, blustery, 35 to 40. Well have some winds gusting 25, maybe 30 out of the northwest. 50 tuesday afternoon, wednesday 48. Theres a chance for a flurry in the afternoon. Groundhog day looks cold and dry.
