have been remembering one of tordil's victims, claudina molina. >> reporter: claudia molina was the mother of two children, 65 years old when she was gunned down in the parking spaces behind me. dozens of family, friends and strangers gathered dressed in black to remember claudina molina. more cried as they stared at the flowers, balloons, candles that surrounded her picture. >> we are suffering. it's a great loss. my family is torn apart by it. >> she was a wonderful woman. >> reporter: she worked to provide for her family. >> i'm very surprised. it is very difficult. >> reporter: the vigil is not only in the place that marked the beginning of the end for molina, but right across the street from the strip mall where they took the suspect into custody. eulalio tordil has been charged with first degree murder in the death of claudina molina. the family says and police confirmed, that claudina molina did not know any of the other victims involved in the two-day shooting spree. this mother's day, she will be missed. live in montgomery county, mat matt yurus, wusa9. >> thank you very much matt. now to clarksburg where police remember the man tordil shot to death at the montgomery mall friday. he is being hailed a hero for trying to save another person who was shot but as mall come winfeld ease winfield's family shows us. >> reporter: they called him a superhero. >> they called him the hulk. he was really big. our own superhero. >> reporter: if this hero had a superpower, it was selflessness. >> a friend of a friend of a friend and he will help. >> reporter: that is how he died. helping. mike was gunned down in montgomery mall friday coming to the aid of a woman shot moments earlier. it was part of eulalio tordil's shooting spree. mike's brother carlos was in the mall with her daughter when she found out. it is crazy, the scores of people showing up to remember mike at watching his family was the hard part. the wife, kids, brothers, sisters, all in tears. the mother trying to hold it together. >> my brother died doing what he most loved. helping others. >> that was him. >> reporter: a lot of people say that is what they would do, but mike did it. he gave his life to help a stranger. think about that. he gave his life so that someone he never met might keep hers. >> so loving. it is just ... it is just so sad. >> reporter: it makes them sad because he made them so happy. >> he was always joking around. always had a smile on his face. >> he was funny. you know. >> like >> he was. >> reporter: even now, the thought of him sparks a smile, a laugh. this one man, this superhero, left them with so much. >> he was the strength of my entire family. and though he is no longer in this world, he has left us with his strength. >> a go fund me page has been set up for winffel's family. again, three people are recovering after tordil's shooting spree. keep us here to get the latest on this story. download our wusa9 app. now is the time. dc firefighters moved quickly to put out a row house fire in northeast. the fire caused heavy damage on the first floor of the home in the 200 block of 33rd street. fortunately, no one was hurt. the cause of that fire is under investigation. let's turn to our weather tonight. we are all hoping for a nice mother's day. so are we going to get it? chesapeake bay when their boat began taking on water. the good samaritan rescued the six boaters from their sinking vessel. maryland natural resources police and the annapolis fire department helped coming through tonight. and we don't need any more rain. this goes back to april 18th. just to give you an idea. tomorrow, we may pick up some measurable precipitation. tomorrow may be the 12th day in a row. 11 day ins a row. 13 of the last 15, we have had measurable precipitation in washington. my lawn scares me when i go out there. i might have to double mow. temperatures in the mid to upper 50s it will be gusty with the winds over 20 miles an hour. a sunny afternoon for mom. highs around 70. just a bit breezy. but considering the week we have had, we will take it. now, as we head toward
