Bureau census bureau, led police on chase. Reporter it started as an alleged Domestic Violence crime, but before it ended here on h street it took a while. It impacted dozens of more people and changed dozens more lives who seemingly had nothing to do with that crime. It began between 48yearold Ronald Anderson and his 20year old girl friend. She was being stalked and ultimately was abducted by her abuser. Reporter anderson, the alleged abuser, convicted of manslaughter in 1991 and currently under restraining order filed by his girl friend was facing an assault charge when he allegedly kidnapped her, took her to the u. S. Census bureau in suitland, shot a Security Guard who tried to help her, took d. C. Police on a high speed chase, shot and wound an officer on h street before being shot himself. Again it began between anderson and his girl friend but didnt end that way. We have for so long thought of it as a private issue, something between two people we need to keep in our families, but it does impact our communities. Reporter Lawrence Buckner didnt know anderson or the girl friend. He was simply doing his job when he checked on the two in andersons car before he was shot and killed. Why did this man jump in . Why did he step up and really to save a life . It was because he was doing what we all do. We want to step in. We want to be able to help when we see something going on. Reporter its something buckners coworkers came to expect of him. He was a good guy. Somebody lost a husband, their father. Reporter is there a concern that because yesterday turned out the way that it did some people might be discouraged from helping . I dont think thats human nature. Reporter carmen says with the 30,000 Domestic Violence calls d. C. Police get each year the violence can spill over. Anyone can be a victim just like Lawrence Buckner. Its something that we cant say is an issue just for those survivors, just for those individual. Its something we all have to Pay Attention to. This time Police Arrested the agent for a domestic dispute. It happened in southeast when a uniformed officer working for the Foreign Missions branch got in a fight with his exgirl friend. Superior court to answer charges of destruction of property and attempted burglary. It is just the latest in a series of troublinginess dens involving the secret service. The woman is quoted as saying my exboyfriend just wont leave me alone. Police say baldwin showed up a few minutes after they did and admitted to kicking in the door. He was arrested. Neighbors say he was often here and they didnt know he was a secret Service Officer. Its usually quiet on our street. Everybody communicates with each other and we try to keep the peace so we dont have to worry about the law keep running down. Reporter surprised to hear the boyfriend is a secret Service Agent . Yeah. That is surprising, let you know you never know who is on your street. Reporter baldwin was released after his Court Appearance and told by the judge not to go near his ex girl friend or the house where no one answered the door this evening. This is just the late he is incident for the secret service which has been latest incident for the secret service which has been under scrutiny since a fence jumper made it into the white house last year. Since then two high ranking agents have been investigated for driving into a suspicious package investigation and two days ago another high ranking agent was accused of sexual assault. A followup on a dashcam investigation, we first showed you this video of an Orange County, Virginia Deputy throwing a driver down onto the roadway. Tonight that sheriff is reaching out to residents revealing new allegations via social media. Its in to a story by Investigative Reporter russ ptacek and he joins us now with ha that sheriff said on facebook. With what that sheriff said on facebook. For the first time the sheriff is offering an explanation as to why that deputy threw 53yearold Stuart Fitzgerald onto a four lane highway and why while there was no audio during that entire confrontation it suddenly turned back on as soon as it was over. As we first reported wednesday night, officers were trying to get a cell phone out of fitzgeralds hand before throwing him onto that road. Now on facebook the sheriff is telling Orange County residents the officer tackled fitzgerald because he wasnt handcuffed saying the deputy took fitzgerald to the ground to complete the handcuffing and this is when fitzgerald bit the deputy. Fitzgerald later kicked the other police officer. Thats the first time the agency has revealed how both officers were allegedly assaulted in the struggle. 25 minutes after this struggle the audio returns to the videotape. Today the sheriff said it was a separate audio system stating the overmodulated audio came on when the deputy activated the internal car microphone. And today the sheriff stated he has three witnesses who saw fitzgerald hitting his own head against the hood of that sheriffs cruiser and thats what hes charged with along with assaulting those Police Officers and for that Stuart Fitzgerald could face up to 15 years in prison. First off this was a slow speed chase and it almost looked like there was a parade of some sorts going on because once word got out people lined up on the streets waiting to see the prius and a string of cop cars go by several times. The driver completely stopped the car and kind of like he was handing out money to folks watching. Police patiently waited for the right moment to corner him.
