thunderstorms are gone but notice the yellow around culpeper. there's still some embedded heavy downpours that will continue throughout the night into the morning. some heavy activity is down i-95 between fred ricksesburg. look at this, we were at 77 today, the warmest of the year. almost all of prince george's county has moderate rain. we'll come back and tell you if it leaves us alone by the afternoon. we're following breaking news of a shooting in fairfax county. police are searching for as many as four suspects after a man was shot several times. found inside his home of north king's highway. he was conscious when flown to the hospital but we don't know his current condition. a little boy is now found safe in our area. an amber alert for 20 month old jackson pa tell after a man claiming to be his dad took him from his grandparent's home. that guy is now in police custody. west virginia police say he was located in hey mark and virginia. the search for noah thomas ended the way many dreaded. >> he was found in a septic tank. is there any idea how this happened? >> well jen right now how and why remain mysteries. police made no arrests and the cause of death has not been determined for noah's death. there's still more questions than answers tonight. they just found his body after 1:00 after day 5 of the search for the little boy. he disappeared sunday morning. his mom dropped off his dad at work around 7:00 a.m. sunday. she came home and left noah in front of the tv watching cartoons. then she took a nap. around 10:30 she woke up and said noah was gone. since they have canvassed a 10 mile radius around the house. noah was right there on the property. >> his body was discovered in a septic tank during a more detailed and aggressive search. the recovery of the body is part of our investigation. >> police told us that they searched the house and property several times this week but found nothing suspicious obviously until today. it's unclear what prompted authorities to conduct that more aggressive search conducted by the sheriff. we're not sure if it was a tip or investigators just being thorough that lead them to the septic tank. soon after they offered up a $5,000 reward, perhaps by coincidence, noah was then found. on the other hand search team leaders said they were searching areas of interest not once or twice, but meth thod methically. as recently as yesterday we saw fbi agents combing the property looking for more clues. one thing that the jim davis stressed to us over the last few day social security that the parents were distraught. they were not making public statements they were not talking to the media and he also made sure to stress that they were fully cooperating with the police investigation. now beside the obvious major news of noah being found today a few details were released by sheriff davis. we know that timeline is going to be critical in their investigation, especially that two hour window that mom said she was taking a nap she left noah to watch cartoons on his own. where did noah go? who had access to noah? how did he end up in a septic tank? perhaps it was put best by noah's uncle the past couple of hours you can see the yellow. now we're not necessarily done with heavy downpours. this is heavy rain. it looks like rainfall rates here about half an inch. we're headed for tyson it's raining a little bit in sterling but the heavy activity will get in there shortly. we have a wet commute in the morning. temperature in the 40s you need your umbrella and your coat. if the bus is late, it's really going to be miserable. breezy and much colder, you need a coat for tomorrow. and then snow showers are still possible on saturday. we still have that in the forecast. 6:00 a.m. in the morning temperatures in the 40s rain about everywhere, a little bit of snow showing up here. it may be aggressive. by 9:00, still some showers back into charles county and some showers off to the west but not as widespread. then a batch of showers will linger into southern maryland. now some breaks in the clouds west of i-81. with the late march on, we'll probably get to 51 before the temperatures begin to fall big time tomorrow night. so we'll break it down. you need the umbrella. 46 at 7:00, 46 at 9:00. 45 and clouds at 11:00. and sun by 1:00. the next three days, snow and rain
