Police say that witnesses tell them when they heard the gunshots everyone in the gym went running, taking cover. When police arrived, they began sweeping the school, looking for any possible victims, any suspects, any evidence. Police say no one has been arrested but they do not have any suspects at this point. Police were pretty tightli pped about any possible suspect description, saying theyre not releasing that at this time. It is still early in the investigation. Theyre still piecing together the pieces of the puzzle, but they stress the public is safe, theres no one out there armed and dangerous, according to police. We do know the jv basketball game was being played against Thomas Johnson high school. That is a ryely of high school. We havent gotten that far in the investigation. It was the frederick high versus t. J. Basketball game, which is a rivalry. Reporter police began releasing the parents, students, and staff inside the school. There was a long line of cars. For the most part thats all gone. Everyone has evacuated the building, but they were on lockdown about two hours. Police still on scene, and they say still looking for their suspect. Investigators say a driver was able to get the license plate of a white chevy impala with some flashing blue and red lights along i66. That license plate is what led police to the man. Officials disclosed more First Responder radio failures in metro station testing for at least nine radios.
