You dont see that. You think the guys should already understand that. But its something that the tampa bay Coaching Staff really kind of instructs their guys by position. We saw some of that during the course of the week just really el mental fundamental parts of fool that you used to do in high school that theyre still making sure the guys dont lose sight of. Several people injured and taken to the hospital after partial ceiling collapsed in a southeast building. What can you tell us . I picked up a handful of the debris that came down 12 feet above the heads of the guest at this d. C. Government Office Building. Its pretty soft. You can break it with your hands but if youre in a crowded room i imagine that was scary when the ceiling came down. Officials are telling me this is a d. C. Government Office Building and there were five hundred people that had gathered for a tribute to the late chuck brown. And then the gogo music genre. Fire Officials Say there was construction going on on the second floor above peoples head and then they had a live band on the first floor. Fire officials are speculating right now that it was the combination of the construction and the live band that caused this newly constructed ceiling to come down on guests. Eight people were among those injured. And all those guests were caught by surprise. Everybody was having a good time. The mayor had walked out not too long ago. Ever body was enjoying the music and i was about to walk to the chuck brown piece that i did right here and thats when i saw it come down a fire official tells me eight people were taken to the hospital and they had minor injuries. He describes them as bumps and bruises but many are thankful that this wasnt much worse. Im told that inspectors from d. C. R. A. More than two dozen squad cars chasing the suspect along wisconsin northwest. Will thomas had a frontrow seat to this and will i know you ran upstairs when you heard it on the scanner and saw it firsthand. We had sky fox tell the story. We learned they were coming right by us right out front so like dozens of other people who lined the sidewalks we watched as the suspect just kept on going despite a huge line of police right behind him. Right at 9 00 our photographer rolling as a disabled jeep passes right by. At least 30 squad cars on his tail. This wasnt high speed because officers managed to lay a spike strip down earlier in their pursuit which blew out his tires. Lets watch it again but well slow it down. The driver started to run from cops in baltimore an hour and a half earlier. He led them along the beltway through Montgomery County and into the district. He came by with his rims, no tires, and i felt like we were in l. A. And just like those l. A. Car chases we see all the time, people lined wisconsin avenue sell phones rolling cell phones rolling. The ky car came to a stop on wisconsin avenue just over the Maryland Line in chevy chase and fox 5 photographers get the shots of the suspect. The guy is wanted with several felonies. Heres the jeep he was driving. No rubber on these wheels. The suspect will have plenty of time to think about this night and so will all the onlookers who watched it all come to an end right before their eyes. It was very unusual. You dont usually see that in our area that maam many cops. So it was definitely a surprise. Everyone in the restaurant is ducking down. We were under the table. We heard gunshots and we were roar worried someone might come in on the restaurant there. So we were under there a couple minut minutes. We kind of saw the cops had it under control. No. Gunshots. And no one hurt we know of except for the suspect who was banged up a bit and bandaged up by paramedics before Maryland Police hauled him off to be pros soefd processed. It made for a memorable friday night for us. Thank you, will thomas. Another big story tonight work to remove a controversial inscription from the Martin Luther king memorial is just about finished. The National Park has been trying to move it remove it before august 28th. It was a disputed inscription taken out of context when it was pair frafd and shortened and it made dr. King sound arrogant a man who was anything but para frafd. The job isnt done. Now the inscription is gone removed at an cost of 700,000. But the memorial still stands in all its glory on a four acre site on the national mall. I think that the true intent of dr. Kings words should be highlighted on the monument for everybody to see. The work didnt come without a few bumps in the road. The orange nall contractor working on the changes didnt have the required insurance so the National Park service brought in its Historic Preservation shin Center Members to find out thou complete the task that was specified by the sculptor. Today on fox 5 news at 5 00 we heard from the National Park service. There are striations, lines, grooves in the memorial and theyre supposed to represent the stone of hope being ripped from the mountain of despair and what they did is they took out the words etched them out and turned them into those striations. Also in the mall three weeks after the Lincoln Memorial was vandalized the green paint clean up is finally complete. The scaffolding has been removed. A woman charged with vandalizing chapters is also a suspect in the vandal list cis aim to the the Lincoln Memorial and other sights vandalism. Preliminary tests show blue green algae is to blame for the fish quill kill yesterday. The algae only possess a threat to fish. The National Park service is working to come up with a solution.
