5:30 in the afternoon. he was killed in the shoot-out with a suspect and we know he was from here. dave kinchen is on the story now, dave. >> reporter: we know this was an ambush style attack. we also know that the assassinated law enforcement officer in this case, has root from his the boothwyn area and played football here at chichester high school where we are right now. prince georges county police in maryland said that their four year veteran officer jacie colson was killed during a a unprovoke attack outside the police station and he was just days shy of his 29th birthday. colson played foot the ball a as a quarterback here at chichester high school ten years ago in delco. now investigators say officers were going about their business sunday afternoon when a gunman fired on the first officer he saw outside the police station sparking a gun battle that left undercover officer colson mortally wounded, shocked collogues shared their thoughts. jacie had an infectious smile that lit up the room. he was a tremendous personality that made everybody smile and wanted to be everything to everybody. he was a police officer, who was a real cop's cop. he didn't shy away from any calls, he men shied away from his responsibility. >> reporter: police told residents to shelter in place during the active shooter situation. investigators say shooter was wounded and taken into custody long with his brother, and at this time the investigation, continues but of course as school business to start here at chichester high school, staff will remember officer colson and will be emotion aal today, back to you you. >> that is for sure. 7:05. well, also today new jersey state trooper hit and fatally injured on 295 will be laid to rest. >> more emotion, for sure. funeral of office ever sean cullen will be held today, at noon time, in cinnaminson. >> and this is now exactly one week, to the day, when that accident happened, steve. >> reporter: well, daylight saving time means it is still dark at 7:00. that means i can she you bright blue lights, really blaring, here throughout cinnaminson. if it is in the a blue light on a house we will spin it is a blue ribbon on a house. there are blue lights and blue ribbons every where and in honor of the man who died wearing that new jersey state police, blue trooper uniform, a week ago today. also all around cinnaminson, right after bob kelly ace traffic you can see closed roads already and this is a 8:00 o'clock viewing, a 12:00 o'clock funeral but they are shutting road down because the procession, bringing sean cullen's basket here to the church as we continue to give you a 360-degree spin is all ready to go again and yesterday a very big viewing here, five hours long, supposed to be it the looks more like eight hours. i saw hundreds of people lined up, is there a catholic school behind this church, the people were lined up, past the school and then around the school, and standing there in the rain in their nice sunday best, black clothing, getting soaked and not one complaint from anybody waiting in the rain to pay their respects to a man that most of them knew. let's show you some pictures and here is the most sad part for you people just hearing this for the first time. one of the things i learn as i saw these pictures for the first time that is shawn and his fiance erin were supposed to be married next month here. in other pictures you see their nine month-old son shamus, she was expecting, that she's still expecting their second child. so a family brand part and a community coming together to support this family. >> it is a very family oriented town, and i have children of my own even though they are grown. children are so important to be supported and they are made aware of what a wonderful person their father was. >> he always wanted to be a police officer and he got his goal, but unfortunately not too long. >> the entire cullen family knows that there is a very large community behind them, and it is not just cinnaminson but it is west hampton, mount holly, the state police family all the way around. >> reporter: here's one of the pictures i took yesterday, hundreds of troopers lined the front of the church, for the arrival of the sean cullen's cast wet about an hour before the viewing. that is expect to happen anytime now. if you are wondering whether governor christie will be here, he will not be here. you may find it odd a man who had law enforcement, supporting police as a tenant of his presidential campaign, has decided to campaign for donald trump rather than be at the funeral of one of his own state troopers. as i keep talking here, it looks like hearst carrying the casket with sean cullen's body may be arriving. the this was the kind of vehicle that came yesterday. not a big procession right here, right now but we will see maybe a little different because of the rain out here, so we will stay with this picture if you guys would like, if not i'll see you again at 7:30. >> let's stay with it. the let's stay with it. >> because we do know that the viewing will start a little bit less than an hour from now at 8:00. >> you would think this is the arrival. >> they don't, greg, my photographer was asking me why don't they leave the casket in there. they don't ever leave caskets of police officers in the church overnight. we see this with philadelphia police too. they say it is a big deal in the police business to always honor and have a procession for this casket and give it the a solute, and it had an american flag over the casket yesterday, and again, lot of people came here to be here for that moment. the it was a very solemn moment, very sad moment. in fact, one of the dignitaries even though governor christie isn't going to be here i did see u.s. attorney paul fishman, who holds a federal office, that was the office governor christie had for seven years before he ran for governor, but paul fishman coming there newark and he is still a top law enforcement official. i know how far he came in the middle of a sunday. >> yes. >> steve, i would like to see somebody from the funeral home just delivering that. i don't think the casket is in that car. >> reporter: all right. we will see you in just a few minutes a and we will come back if anything changes here. >> all right, steve. >> it has to be something soon as the viewing will be starting in a bit. >> about 50 minutes. 7:10 now. we have learned that one of the new jersey's best known basketball players was involved in the car crash that led to the death of trooper cullen. dujuan wagner a camden high school basketball stair who played in the nba before injuries got in the way of his career. >> yeah, he was driving southbound that night on i, 295, and when his car was rear ended by a vehicle driven by a 27 year-old man, from paulsboro. that man's car hit a guardrail and then his car caught fire. that is why all of the emergency vehicles had to show up at the scene there on 295. so dujuan was treated at a hospital for minor injuries. he is certainly out right now. eleven past 7:00 o'clock. it has been billed as the second super tuesday, tomorrow. >> super tuesday, part two. >> i like that, part two. >> a seek wet. >> part deux. >> voters in five states are heading to the polls. >> big primaries tomorrow could make all of the difference in the race for the white house. doug luzader joins us from washington d.c. good to have you back, doug? >> reporter: good morning, guys, yes, a couple of big contests tomorrow, you know, these are the states in play for super tuesday, but as usual, all of the attention goes to ohio and florida because those are winner take all contests. if the polls are correct, donald trump will probably win florida, and governor john kasich, in ohio is in a pretty good position into win that state. if it is a a split decision between those two states, this could go all the way to the convention this summer. >> so far this is my second home, i love florida. >> reporter: donald trump tried to sell his sunshine state credentials at a rally there last night. no major incidents like we saw in cleveland on saturday or chicago on friday, and in florida trump is in a good position to win. >> we're working hard. >> reporter: tough time for home state senator marco rubio using a bull horn in orlando scrambling to build last minute support for a come from behind win. a real battle ground may be ohio, where many polls show ohio governor john kasich narrowly lead trump. >> did we go to the dark side with negativity. >> no, no. >> and to add to the race ted cruz is batting on north carolina in any scenario could lead to a contested convention, something that the campaigns are all ready bracing for. >> for the most part delegates, the establishment types coming from the state parties and i have to tell you that these campaigns are already courting delegates, talking to delegates, they are making their cases to these super delegates. they are well aware this could end up in a convention. >> reporter: what a fight that would be. the as far as democrats are concerned hillary clinton, polls indicate will have a good day tomorrow. the she's ahead in all of these states with the exception, and this is surprising, seems to be illinois, i say surprising because that is hillary clinton's home state. poles all over the map. one shows bernie sanders even has a slight lead but that may be an out liar. >> i'll be darned. in much bigger news, it is good to have you back after your time off. tell us about kyla. >> kyl a a is our daughter born a week ago saturday. so i was off all last week. i didn't get much rest, i can tell you that. but our second little will girl and we're very thrilled. >> big sister, she's adorable. >> yeah, thank you so much. she's very, very happy. everybody is doing great. no worn is getting much sleep right now. >> doug, are you going for three. >> wow, wow, wow, let's get through super tuesday first. >> congratulations. >> we will see you again tomorrow for super tuesday. >> all right, sue. >> good, good story. here's what we have going on, big mess in our part of the country. several weather systems in play here. one on our doorstep, the one bringing us rain right the now and then we have another low pressure system that will be coming in tonight and tomorrow, so, it is going to be kind of a drippy, dreary, rainy day for a while. here's what is coming through right now. anyplace you see orange or yellow is where the rain is heavier but you also see a dry area, in out towards our west. we will get a break in another hour or so from the current rain but it doesn't mean we're finished with rain. we see rain to the north all the way through delaware, southern new jersey, and there is rain, pretty heavy rain around cape may courthouse, lewis delaware we're getting downpours a as well right now. temperatures 48 degrees in philadelphia right now, it is kind of windy, it will stay that way all day. chilly with a high of 50 degrees. sixty-two tomorrow, and then we will head to 70's by wednesday, for st. patrick's day on thursday, it looks like a high of 63 degrees. some showers probably to start, and that sunshine in the afternoon friday and sat the day are dry and little bit of above seasonal and then we will welcome spring on sunday with some spring showers, and a high of 60. that is your seven day forecast, bob kelly, how are you you doing. >> well, we're doing good. everybody is i think sluggish after the big parade yesterday and, of course, the time change impacts everyone whether you are at the parade or not. the time change is bringing daylight an hour later. so the last, hour or so is a change for anyone commuting or standing outside on the bus stop in that 6:15 to 7:15 hour. southbound i-95 here we are jammed from cottman in through to girard avenue, heavier rain on the doppler screen here as we head eastbound on 422. we're stack up from collegeville all the way in through king of prussia, an accident still, has both directions of the burlington bristol bridge closed to vehicle traffic. hopefully we will get that opened in the next five or 20 minutes or so but for right now you will want to head up to the connection bridge or down to the betsy ross bridge. a as we have heard from
