>> ♪ sunrise sunset ♪ >> all right, steve, monsignor william lynn due back in court. >> it is two days after he was just release from the prison when child endangerment conviction was overturnedment jennifer joyce standing by in center sit which more details, hi, jenny. >> reporter: good morning, lauren, we do know the district attorney is pushing for a new trial for monday seen john lynn. lynn's attorney says the trial wouldn't be until sometime in 2017. monsignor william lynn was released from prison two days ago on tuesday, after serving nearly three years behind bars. lynn was the first us roman catholic church official official ever to be charged or convicted of helping to shield child molesters. the 2012 conviction happened twice overturned, days ago, the state supreme court through out the case saying that the trial judge let too many church victim testify who were not directly linked to the case in question. lynn's attorney says because his client has already served 33 months, of his 36-month sentence, the maximum sentence he could receive in a new trial would be just two months. the district attorney's offers explains why this case is important to them. >> the d.a.'s office position that this level of institutional sexual abuse and the cover-up that ensued is something that victims deserve justin and the people of commonwealth deserve to delve into this, and have this matter come to a conclusion that in accordance with the law. >> since tuesday, we are told that lynn has been staying with relatives, and his hearing today expected to get started mid-morning. mike, lauren? >> jenny, thank you for. that will we'll state on that story until it is over, which may be years. 6:07. >> right now authorities in london investigating deadly knife attack there. one woman killed, five other injured, in that attack, in the center part of the city in brussels square yesterday. authorities have arrested the attackers, terrorism of course possible motive no words on the condition of the other people, attacker has not yet been identified. >> back here in philadelphia, police are investigating two separate shootings in fair ville. the most recent happening after 2:00 this morning, told a man was shot in the back, and leg, along north american street. police officers took him to temple hospital. he is expected to be okay. >> and that other shooting happened just before 9:00 last night, that 13,000 block of north second street. someone shot a man in the stomach, and his arm, officers also rushed him to the hospital. he's list in the critical condition at temple university hospital. no arrests have been made in that case. >> lauren one person dead after being hit by a septa train in delaware county. happened just after 9:30 last night. a septa spokesperson says the train traveling on the media elwin line hit the person near the fernwood yeadon station. about 90 passengers were evacuated from that train, and transferred to septa buses to complete their trips. the victim has yet to be identified. and vice president joe biden being honored right here in philly for his effort to fight cancer. what he says is his greatest regret. when it comes to not running for president. >> and you have seen those donkeys around town. >> sure. >> they're a fixture here, right?
