The clouds are getting darker as this storm approaches and the surf has already intensified. Ocean city beach patrol says as of yesterday, waves two to 3 feet higher then normal. Concern are these rip currents. They are expected to be strong these afternoon as this storm moves up the coast, mark yam son with the Ocean City Beach patrol tells us there are three ways to spot a rip current. You will notice discolored water flowing, you may see a flat spot with a slick or oily look and lastly a white foam which is an indication that the water is going out to sea. These rip currents will be around this weekend and they can turn a fun dip in the ocean to an unpleasant even dangerous situation. Find a lot on beaches with jetties or pipes, natural manmade structures that cause a little hole. That water exits out through that hole. If you go where there is in the a jetty or pipe it will create a department spot inside a sandbar where that will exit. Reporter talking about these rip currents again these warnings come just days after a 14 yearold, was pulled into the ocean by a rip current and in sad news to report his body was recovered yesterday, and back out here live just to show you these Current Conditions we are dealing with. We have had trees that came down, power outages, malverns fire chief says winds brought two power lines together and lit one home in fire.
