Concert day after tomorrow at Citizens Bank park. Keep europe arthurs coming this way. I think people are little confused. Last night cold front came through and hit our hot temperatures. So we had thunderstorms, and lightning, nothing to do with arthur. Arthur still coming up from the south. And art surround hitting the carolinas, will not be hitting our area whatsoever, goes totally out to sea, right . But, there is enough moisture involved with arthur, that it interacts with the colds front. Then you have more moisture to deal with. So we will still get the heavy rain, rip currents on the beach. Thats a problem, rip currents, heavy rain corks disrupt a lot of stuff around here. Lets see what the storm looks like right now, down in the carolinas. Sue serio, on vacation. We do not expect landfall here in myrtle beach. But, in North Carolina where they are very vulnerable there. See the geography a lot further west than they are, off shore from us, still moving due north, 75mile per hour sustained winds, probably going to make landfall, good chance, in the outer banks of North Carolina, as far as the jersey shore and the delaware beaches, the same thing here in middle beach. Rip current will be dangerous telling people not to go in the water above the waist, and be very careful, because it is the Holiday Weekends, and more people than usual will be at all of the beaches this weekend. Hole on tight to that railing, sue, good to see you, and luckily you got a lot of nice beach time in earlier in the week. No one has really evacuated here out of this region. I mean, if you can take a look around me, pretty nice still. The sea still pretty calm. People not too concerned although vacationers are dis a pointed that this is long fourth every july weekends and their plans are being ruined due to arthur. Locals arent too concerned. Weve gone through more of there is and, you know, we will ride this one out easily. No evacuations where you are standing but there are not too far from where you are, because they are further out at sea. Whats the situation there . Why are they being evacuated . The outer banks goes down that region, the very tip of the hatteras island, one of the islands out, there and in mandatory evacuation order, all of those people need to get out. And that is theyre urging residents to leave, you know, only one road that leads in and out of the outer banks. The 12 here. Arthur spinning its wheels just off the coast of South Carolina. It is slowly moving northward, rain bands pushing into myrtle beach where sue is, also charleston, then, as it moves northward, there is North Carolina outer banks right there. You can see how that will get more after direct lit from category one hurricane, so it sound like the northern island, hatteras itself, where the evacuation, mandatory evacuations lie. Back home here, we have our own problems. We had thunderstorm or complex every thunderstorms come by last night. They had moved off shore. The heavy rain on friday morning. It will continue, until about noon on friday, for western suburbs, and it is still raining in philadelphia at noon. By mid afternoon, it clears the city. By 4 00 lingering showers down the shore, but by 8 00 fireworks time, we are expected to all be in the clear so i know they did cancel fireworks down in wildwood, probably dont have to because by evening, by dark, we should be okay the rain should ends. Not before though dumb ago good amount of rain again all across the area. Another two to possibly 3 inches every rain, from philadelphia, down into south jersey, and really anyone can see the heavy downs pours with the strong storms moving through. Temperatures right now in the mid 70s, weve got sunshine outside here in philadelphia, and you will mainly see sun through the day today until the storms return.
