jersey a police officer has been charge this is deadly dui crash in florence township. the justin rodriguez was drunk when his car collided into a utility pole on front street september 23rd. his passenger died on the scene. the 25 year-old is an officer with burlington township. officials say he was not on duty the at the time of the crash. lets go to delaware where they are thinking about karen and lauren back over to you. in new jersey camden county police are investigating the shooting of the man found wounded in front of the bar. man discovered at eighth and chestnut lying outside crystal lounge around 8:30 last night. he had been shot in the chest. in other details have been released. there will be no charges file this is death of the four year-old boy who fell from a balcony in the wynfield heights section earlier this week, police say it was just a terrible accident when that child fell seven stories, from an apartment on conshohocken avenue. investigators found a window screen leading to the balcony was broken, the child's parents were at home at the time of this tragedy. the child was from saudi arabia and family moved to our area for treatment of a medical condition. to the west, another law enforcement officer has been gunned down, this happened in california. thinks fourth law enforcement to be killed in just two weeks in that state. this latest shooting happened near oregon state line, the 31 year-old sheriff deputy was responding to a disturbance call at a home. officials say home owner shot the deputy as he was approaching the door. there is a picture of him. he died instantly. the shooter is in custody. a milwaukee police officer involve in the fatal shooting of an african-american man is accused of sexual assault. in addition to that charge, officer brown, he ace accused of offering two men for money for sex at his home and then illegally recorded sexual encounter. in august brown shot and killed silva smith so thing off two day of riots in that city. he is suspended from the the force and being held on hundred thousand dollars bail. now to a bomb shell, flint water crisis, federal environmental regulators dropped the ball wonder and ask what did we do before cell phones were around. it wasn't that long ago but nobody remembers a life without a phone in their hand or in their pocket so it was a week ago today that this delaware state senate special commit thee set up to investigate school safety sent its report to delaware leaders, established after a still disturbing death of the teenage boy or girl in and just outside schools last spring. some of the fights captured on phone video, and this report found that phones and so many posts led up to the physical fight among school kid and gangs and then even more fights recorded on phones and shared around the world. well, committee discussed possibility of cell phone bans in school not just among kid but also taking away from the teachers and any parents if they are going in the school to visit. it said quote public schools in delaware have not done so because parents want to be able to reach their children by phone. that is what dawn timmeney found yesterday when she talk to a lot of parents. >> cell phones are a necessity and would i hate for children not to have them in school. if there is an emergency whether it is a family emergency or emergency within a school those children need a medic is in tomorrow reach out to their parents. >> it don't matter the kid will bring our phones to school. >> reporter: do you think people will sneak them. >> yes, they will still bring them. >> when something bad happens rather than try to stop, whatever bad is happening they are more interested in taking whatever it is that is going on and that to me is socially unresponsible, irresponsible. >> reporter: lauren and karen there is no ban that will happen unless state lawmakers act, or unless one school district volunteers to be a pilot program to see how it goes, but no plans just yet for any pilot program. we will wait and see whether any district or superintendent thinks this is a good idea despite any criticism they may get from parents and kids, to do a which with their phones. judge to us see how it goes for just a month we will have to see but that would be a good idea not to just ignore this report but to act on that
