edging in the pittsburgh area, we are expecting a little taste of that, but there is a winter weather advisory but not until this evening and only for berks, lehigh, northampton, carbon, monroe and western parts of the bucks and montgomery counties. that is because that is where it could be frozen precipitation. we have told but this yesterday and we will go through hour by hour later on. later on it will be cold, 39 degrees is a cold temperature but it is above freezing and as i said first time since last thursday that would be happening. sunset time bob kelly, 4:56. so it is close to that problems on majors like the blue route, schuylkill expressway, boulevard, i-95 all in good shape. for the gang watchings down at lbi route 72 closed right at the war even grove with an accident. and then be careful this morning, the the low temperatures, again still at 17, so there is black ice, potential for black ice, out there, a lot of situations, so far, really with this black ice, been on and off ramps, secondary road, those less traveled roads, neighborhood streets, even just crossing the street from the sidewalk to get to your car, or get the to the the bus, if it is out there, it is frozen over. don't forget toll increase kicked in on sunday at pennsy turnpike there was a lot of backup yesterday at the cash lanes of the turnpike, so be ready for that again this morning. karen and police are investigating whether these things may be connect, lets get out to steve keeley at frankford terminal to explain, what we know, steve. >> reporter: we are on bridge street and you can see the massive frankford terminal and also see not many people out here on the the streets except police officers. and police officers are here right the now investigating, the few people that before out on the street in this extreme cold, at 1:00 a.m. ended up being hold up victims. two simultaneous robberies right outside this this extreme cold but not cold enough for cold hearted crew to seek out, the few people walking to and from, frankford terminal here at 1:00 o'clock in the morning. going to the video police first learned of the robberies after a 30 year-old guy made it on his own to nearby area frankford hospital shot twice and slugged in the face a few times. he said a car load of guys wearing masks which we are doing in this weather so they didn't stand out right away until they got out of this white chevy impala with guns taking his wallet, nearly taking his life by shooting him. while police at the hospital they didn't have to go too far to find victim number two. >> while police were at aria frankford hospital, interviewing this 30 year-old shooting victim, an 18 year-old female was also being treated for facial injuries at the same emergency room, she stated to police that about a block north at frankford and pratt, at the septa terminal, that she was robbed, also, point of gun of her cell phone and cash and she described the same three perpetrators, males wearing dark clothing, masks, armed with a gun, and there was a getaway driver, a fourth individual, in a white vehicle >> reporter: come out of the video and you can see philadelphia police officer, they are running the streets here, looking for that white chevy impala because they figure if they hit twice, they are not home watching the news at 4:00 a.m. and don't know police are outlooking for them there are a few people walking around now because it is getting near work time and if you work and go to or from the frankford terminal, robbers think you have a wallet and you have money and you have at least a septa pass and likely a cell phone and would make a victim of this hold up crew. it doesn't matter what the weather is in this town, crime does not stop apparently, karen and thomas. >> we have learned that over past couple weeks. all right steve, thank you. 4:08. we also know breaking news man shot to death trying to rob, stop an armed robbery in west philadelphia his killer evacuated yesterday after receiving a bomb threat. fbi and k-9 units swept building and found nothing suspicious. officials say numerous jewish community centers across country received bomb threats, none turned out to be credible developing right now, two days without heat and hot water because of that sinkhole , and water main break has folks in the fishtown neighborhood pretty frustrated these cars were swallowed up, two in the mess, it the has been two days and it has been brutally bitterly cold. our lauren johnson is there with the very latest. >> reporter: good morning, the helps remains on this tuesday morning, as do chilly temperatures and that makes it hard, as you mentioned for those people trying to wait it out here at home without the water and heat, sight similar to the grand canyon right here in the middle of boston street monday crew where is out the here working to cap underground lines and they tell us a brick sewer underground dating back to the 1890's cracked and that led to the break in the cast iron water main that was installed in the 1860's, a representative from the cities water department says water temperatures from the delaware and schuylkill rivers are what effects underground pipes not the air temperatures and during these cold months they can see up to 20 water main breaks a take, this one happening on sunday, swallows two cars as soon as crew as arrived here on the scene here in kensington. they fished out the those cars , but not before cutting gas and water to 20 homes here >> it is going to be a long hall. i just hope we get water and heat back, you know, right now we don't have either. you miss those things when you don't have them. >> i just want my gas and water back. they can get back to building the street whenever i don't care. >> colder months when we see highest volume of water mains breaking every day. we can see upward of 20 breaks a day sometimes a winter. the water temperature however is the factor not the air temperature. so, the water temperature for what the their we're treating and putting through the system when that dips below 35 degrees, you will often see a much higher spike in breaks. >> never a dull moment, is there? it the will be quite a while i think until we're able to come backup the street. >> get back to life as normal. >> that is right. >> reporter: this morning a lot of people knowing these pipes are old are asking can this be avoided? not really until the city is able to repair 2800 miles of water mains across the city and right now they are completing about 28 miles a year, it the is a very slow process which brings no comfort to the people here in kensington struggling to deal with no water and no heat in these very frigid temperatures , karen and thomas >> violence, and cocaine trafficking. in new york, kelly wright, "fox news". time right now 4:11. oh, boy what an upset. >> i can't wait to see it. i heard it on the radio like what. we're talking about big college football game last night, championship, thriller coming down to the last second clemson looking for revenge against alabama, who won, clemson did. clemson won. >> early on it looks like alabama would be repeat champions going up four to nothing in the second quarter and leading by ten through much of the second half. the fourth quarter though clemson finally took lead with under five minutes to go, alabama came right back though , freshman quarterback jaylen hurtz ran 30-yard with just two minutes left. alabama up 31-28. of course setting up epic last second finish. >> watch this. >> touchdown. >> quarterback desean watson with the touchdown pass just 12th left giving tigers a win and second national championship. after the game watson announced he was going to enter the nfl draft. >> how about that. all right. that is the scene that happened last night with the sports, lets check our roads, waking up this morning, hi there, bob. >> we're still closed on the vine street expressway, both directions, between the schuylkill and broad street, we will check rest of the jam cams as we go outside and say good morning to city hall, come on, let's income on the door and wake up the mayor. sueby has the forecast, when we come right back. you know your heart loves megared omega-3s... but did you know your eyes, your brain, and your joints really love them too? introducing season so far. the high temperature yesterday was 23 degrees, 17 degrees below normal high of 40. we will get closer to that 40 today at least but not the yet , because it is still very coal. we have single digit temperatures in millville, new jersey. atlantic city where it is 4 degrees. it is even colder in wrightstown with two. nine in trenton. whooping 16 degrees in philadelphia. as we told you earlier not much wind, so at least it feels like what it is, which is really cold. so with that cold air in place we have a weather system coming our way, and that will start off with some frozen precipitation but there is also some mild air moving in later on and that will change that precipitation to rain. but if you are in these counties north and west of the city, and weather service divides up bucks and montgomery county for this particular winter wet ther advisory starting at 6:00 p.m. and going until 2:00 in the morning it is northern and western parts of the montgomery and bucks affected because we will start off with freezing rain and maybe even some snow. we will time it the out here in the the future cast, there you can see starting to move in but by 2:00 in the morning, i should say things have change over to rain, it the is that tricky travel, anytime after 6:00 o'clock and before midnight, that you could have some problems in those areas where the advicery is in effect. it looks like a lot of this rain will be on its way out by 4:00 in the morning. we will start this early with some rain, but for us in philadelphia and south and east of the city, it should be just rain. the another round late wednesday night shouldn't last too long probably gone by thursday morning, and then it the gets dicey over weekend. we will talk about that in the seven day forecast. so for the winter weather advisory light the snow possible, maybe even some freezing rain, temperatures around the time of the advisory around 6:00 will be 30 degrees in that part of the area, slowly rising with freezing rain, slippery road during the transition. staying off the road at that point in time that would be a good thing. there is yesterday's high of 23 degrees, today, 38, wow for first time since last thursday it will be above freezing, we have been that cold for that long, 50 degrees tomorrow and then soaring to 60, by thursday. by friday we are up to 52 degrees and when we start the day on saturday it will be dicey, same story for sunday but both days temperatures end up below freezing. of course, we have holiday on monday martin luther king day and by then we are in the mid 40's. >> does that mean kid are off again monday. >> yep, here we go again. >> good morning everybody. 4:18. on tuesday. the lets get started. no problems on the regional rail lines but there this morning. clean slate and good looking tote board at philly international to start our morning. heading down to the airport we should be good to go where ever you are going, i hope someplace route 72 , an accident the at warren grove. we have reduced speeds, that is an old one there but vine street expressway still closed between the schuylkill and broad street, until about 5:00 . you know normal drill, coming in on the schuylkill expressway you can connect at spring garden, 30th or south street and so far so good on all major roadways, just watch for that blackizes specially on
