there. shawnette? >> reporter: dawn and iain, very powerful ferguson protest just wrapped up here behind me inside 30th street station. a crowd of people then left here, marched down to city hall halting the start of rush hour traffic. let's go inside and take a look at pictures we were able to get when this protest started. take a look. you can see that this is being called a dive in protest -- dye protest i should say held in response to a grand jury decision not to indict officer darren wilson who since retired from the police force. dozens showed up and dropped to the floor at 30th street station and remained there for four minutes and 30 seconds symbolizing the time they say michael brown's body was on the ground after he was shot and killed afterwards you can see the crowd stopped traffic as they marched to city hall. >> we're brothers and sisters in this country. racism needs to stop. you know, we shouldn't be afraid that our children will get shot and know their lives won't matter. >> reporter: lots of philadelphia police officers were here on hand as well as bike cops, standing around. from what we hear this has been peaceful so far the crowd as we just mentioned marched over to city hall that's where a tree lighting ceremony is taking place. we'll be live there and we'll bring you the latest at 6:00 o'clock. dawn, back to you. >> all right, thanks shawnette. right now at 5:00 the search for three brutal attackers. the vicious assaults caught on camera. a teenager had just left a friend's house when he was ambushed by three men. tonight that young man is recovering from some serious injuries including a broken jaw and broken teeth. those attackers are still on the loose tonight. fox 29's dave schratwieser live near the scene of the attack with the story. dave? >> reporter: dawn, the 17-year-old victim in this case is a junior at central high school. he's said to be a very good student. he has very serious injuries from this beating to night. philadelphia police are offering a reward. they're calling this a random attack. and we want to warn you, this video is disturbing. >> it's brutal. >> reporter: police say the 17 year old victim was simply waiting for a ride home after visiting a friend's house on fourth street in northern liberties when he was brutally attacked by one suspect, then another. while a third guy watched. >> he sustained a broken jaw, lost a number of teeth and some other damages to his face. >> reporter: surveillance video just released shows the suspects as they punched, kicked and stomped the teenager back on november 15th. when he struggled back into the street and went down, there was a final stomp to the victim's head. >> it appeared to be random and like i said they assault him he's outside waiting for a ride and they just jump on him and start kicking and purposing him. >> reporter: videos shows the suspect rivaling through his pockets. police say his cell phone was taken. the suspects then walked away. >> if anyone may have been out in that area may have seen anything, or recognize these individuals give us a call. >> reporter: victim was raced to jefferson hospital where he was first listed in stable condition. he's now recovering at home. >> they could have killed this young man. you kick someone in the face and the head the damage that's done a broken jaw but that could have been a fatal blow and kill this young man. >> reporter: now the description of the attackers is very vague. if you have any information at all you should call philadelphia police. we will have the latest on the investigation coming up at 6:00. iain? >> dave, thank you. fire in this manayunk home sent one man to the hospital. flames broke ought around 2:00 this afternoon along the 400 block of east hermit street. you can see the broken windows on the first floor. there's no word yet tonight on the condition of the man inside. >> the home of a former camden city fire chief goes up in flames sending his two sons to the hospital. fire started and side the home this morning on the 100 block of third avenue in mt. ephraim. former fire chief joseph marini lives in the home. medics took both of his sons to the hospital they are expected to be all right. it's not clear exactly thou fire started. a 15-year-old girl is in the hospital in critical condition with a broken leg after she was hit by a car. this happened around 6:30 this morning on the northbound lanes of roosevelt boulevard at ryan avenue. the driver of the car did stay at the scene. and there's no word on whether any charges will be filed tonight. the coast guard has suspended the search for a missing man in the christina river. three crew members working for a dredging company fell into the water after a crane barge capsized last night around the port of wilmington. two of the men did resurface but 25-year-old emmanuel gatling is still missing. >> and now to developing story. the search for a missing college student from our area. police were searching once again today at a park near where the man was last scene. meanwhile family and friends are holding a vigil at west chester university tonight for shane montgomery. that's going to happen in just about an hour. montgomery was out with friends and family on thanksgiving eve when he disappeared after leaving a manayunk bar and despite seven days of intense searching by the police, fbi, volunteers, shane's family says, that right now there are just no new leads in this case. fox 29's chris o'connell live in west chester for us tonight. chris? >> reporter: dawn, a damp and dreary night kind of setting the mood here in west chester. in about an hour from now, friends and classmates will gather on the steps of the student union here at west chester university for a candlelight vigil for the 21-year-old liberal arts major here. shaken it's been nearly a full week so far after shane went missing after a night of part partying on manayunk's main street on the eve of thanksgiving. he has not been seen despite a week long exhaustion seive search. his friends here say, they are not giving up hope. they want to keep his name out there. they want to keep his face out there in hopes someone will come forward with some information. the reward now has climbed to $31,000 for information leading to shane. a thousand of that came from the west chester student government association. now, bringing you back out here the search took place today with fbi and police at several locations. butt but so far no solid leads as friends and classmates now begin to arrive for this candlelight vigil. of course, we'll bring you back here at 6:00 o'clock for a life report on that. dawn? >> all right, thank you, chris. things are improving in your fox 29 weather authority after a really damp and dreary start. the weather is starting to clear up making it a pretty good night for a tree lighting that's where chief meteorologist scott williams is live tonight at the philadelphia tree lighting at dilworth plaza. scott? >> hi there, dawn. yes, of course, it was gloomy earlier in the day with all of that rainfall, but i'm right now live inside the core idea at city hall we're talking about the tree lighting sermon that will get underway in a couple of hours and it will be filled with holiday cheer. i'll step out of the way now. the tree lighting ceremony for the past couple of years has been at love park but it's back at city hall. take a look at the tree as we pan around. you can see it's 35-foot norway spruce from linvilla orchards in media. now, festivities begin around 6:00 o'clock and once again that tree lighting itself will take place right around 7:55. so let's talk a little bit about the weather because ultimate doppler earlier was pretty busy showing some of the damp and dreary conditions but right now you can see that rainfall has begun to move away. high pressure will be moving in behind that system and that will usher in drier conditions overnight and also we're looking at temperatures dropping as we move ahead but right now you can see we're still socked in with the cloud cover at the airport. temperatures are in the 40s. humidity is up there as well. so still pretty humid if you're stepping outdoors. temperatures right now, you can see a sharp contrast we're looking at 50s in atlantic city and wildwood. but along the i-95 corridor, we're in the 40s and for the tree lighting ceremony itself, dry and chilly, temperatures will be in the 40s. we'll talk about more rain though hears a lawsuit filed against ups today. the issue discrimination against pregnant women. the out come could have wide ranging effects nationwide. pennsylvania senator bob casey was among those gathering outside the hearing today in support of peggy young. she is suing ups saying the company laid her off more than eight year ago wild she was pregnant. she says she gave a doctor's note and requested light duty but instead was placed op unpaid leave. she says the company grants such requests for people who are injured on the job and should have accommodated her as well. ups maintaining it did not intentionally discriminate young did take her case to two lower courts and lost. just recently ups changed its policy so that pregnant employees will be eligible for light duty work. >> the counts down is on for nasa's launch of its orion space craft. a rocket scheduled to black off at 7:05 tomorrow morning from cape canaveral florida. good launch weather is in the forecast. orion set to fly further than human rated space craft since apollo moon program. lucy noland is at cape canaveral coming up at 5:30 we'll check in with her life to find out where orion is head and why this mission is so important. >> sexual allegations against bill cosby move into court. >> now, a woman is suing the legendary comedian over an assault that she says happened decades ago when she was just 15 years old. the impact this latest development could have. and video that's hard to believe. police believe this woman walked the streets of new orleans slashing people. the big search that's now underway. >> and later, the future is now. a storm in one part of the country is testing robots that could one day serve you. we'll show you hoy it all work. >> there's been yet another claim against bill cosby alleging i a sexual assault this time it's not just a woman speaking to a tv cam are she wants to take him to court. it's the first time a woman has come forward saying she was underage at the time of the alleged incident and fox 29's brad satin is here in the stud studio. brad she claims this happened some 40 years ago? >> reporter: 1974. a long time ago. of course, statute of limitations has long run out but her lawsuit tries to get around that by claiming she only recently connected her years of psychological problems to bill cosby's alleged sexual advances four decades ago. for the first time in nine years the allegations against bill cosby have moved from the court of public opinion to court. a lawsuit filed in los angeles by a woman named judy huth55 years old alleges when she was just 15, she and a 16-year-old girlfriend were approached by which is bee and taken to the playboy mansion and told by him "if any of the playboy bunnies ask their age they should say they were 19. her lawsuit says she was given drinks and upon leaving a bathroom cosby proceeded to sexually molest her. over the years she claimed she suffered psychological damage and that the cause of it was only discovered within the last three years. a repressed memory for nearly 40 years? >> something they don't like they'll block it out. they'll be slightly reminded of it and all of a sudden it will come back up. >> reporter: even years later. >> even years later. 20, 30, 40. everyone deserves their day in court and i think that just because she was intimidated and maybe had these repressed memories doesn't mean she shouldn't be heard out. >> it's not too farfetched and you've venous a lot of these abused case that is involved priests and other members of the clergy. >> this former federal prosecutor says this case against cosby races a big red flag. >> this woman basically hit hid her head in the sand for decades and now that bill cosby is on the front page of of major newspaper and across television she's decided that suffered injuries. that's a tough case. >> reporter: california statute of limitations is 10 years. that's long gone. but there is a provision for victims to come forward in the state within three years after discovering the source of their psychological injuries was sexual abuse from years earlier. still he believes -- >> long way from collecting money. >> a spokeswoman for the pennsylvania coalition against rape tells me it's not unusual for sexual assault victims roo repress memories like that and all these claims against cosby right now could possibly have sparked a memory. she believes that this woman should have her day in court but as you heard our former federal prosecutor say he believes likely won't get that far. iain. brad, thank you. >> a fire in money county knocks out power in the area. firefighters say it broke out at the on the 900 block of montgomery avenue after 4:00 a.m. no one was inside at the time. it took a few hours to get the flames out. firefighters say the damage is extensive. power was shut off in the area as firefighters say the fire may have been sparked by peco lines. philadelphia police need your help to find a missing elderly man with dementia. 78-year-old aaron lee was last seen around 3:30 yesterday afternoon on septa bus route 7 at 22nd and tasker streets. he's 5-foot seven, he weighs 170 pounds, bald with a medium build and he needs medication. if you know anything that could help police find him, you're asked to give them call. united airlines ended flights to atlantic city international airport just eight months after starting them. united said the routes didn't attract enough passengers to turn a profit. in fact the south jersey transportation authority says there were only 16 people on a 50 seat plane to chicago yesterday. united's decision is yet another blow to a struggling atlantic city which has seen four of its 12 casinos go out of business so far this year. >> a mercer county community will offer vaccinations to residents after an area restaurant worker tests positive for hepatitis a. we first brought you this story yesterday. hamilton township says anyone who ate food from rosa's restaurant and catering between november 10th and monday of this week should get the vaccination if they have never been vaccinated before. now, hepatitis a symptoms include mild fever, loss of appetite, nausea, jaundice, fatigue, vomiting and diarrhea. the clinics will be tomorrow from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 in the evening at the colonial volunteer fire company on kuser road. each scene on tv section. air bag maker is defiantly refusing to voluntarily recall products after two drivers were hurt by faulty inflaters so now some auto makers are stepping up and telling lawmakers on capitol hill they're expanding their own recalls of a certain type of air bag. fox's rich edison has the story. >> reporter: lawmakers and regulators want to know why air bag manufacturer refuses to expand its recall. air bag maker takata says there's insufficient evidence to broaden its current recall. the company issued recalls for about 8 million cars. lawmakers say, that's not enou enough. >> i've received letters from constituents who are literally afraid to drive their cars and this is unacceptable. >> reporter: senior vice-president apologized for the defects. the national highway traffic safety administration requested the company order a nationwide recall takata refuses. >> we have confidence in the integrity of our engineering and our current manufacturing process cease here in the united states. >> reporter: on tuesday night the agency released a statement saying "takata shares responsibility for keeping drivers safe and we believe anything short of a national recall does not live up to that responsibility" however, some of the auto makers are stepping up on their own recalls. honda is the first major car manufacturer to expand its air bag recall to all 50 states. countdown clock right over my shoulder. and i got to tell you i'm one of hundreds of journalists from around the world here to cover the launch of orion and one of many from the delaware valley. because a lot of people from our area have a lot to do with this launch. but first, i wanted to show you why orion has captivated the world. ♪ >> reporter: america's manned space program is not dead. earth. but orion's blasting 14 times further into space taking a crew module deeper than we've gone since 1972 and apollo. >> this launch tomorrow morning is going to be the first steps that nasa is taking along with the the rest of their team to go to mars. ultimatelultimately we're goingn mars. mars is the -- tomorrow is the first step. it will be very exciting and it's a big day. >> reporter: this unmanned test flight is launching 3600 miles into space so it can scream back to earth fast and hot. >> we saw 3,000 degrees outside the space shuttle during entry. this vehicle will see 4,000 degrees but it will be seen by a heat shield that we haven't severed. this is the largest heat shield ever been on a capsule using technologies that aren't proven. >> this flight is all about ma making sure orion is safe for astronauts. >> at the end of the day this is one of the reasons we're doing this test to gather the data because we'll send astronauts into deep space. >> nasa is testing everything from the biggest heat shield ever created to orion's parachute system for soft landing in the pacific. and a bucks county company is absolutely critical to getting the multitude of data that nasa is gathering on this test. >> the transmitters are going to be used on orion. >> reporter: even the families of the company's employees are pumped about this launch. >> they're excited. dreary yukky kind of day. >> let's get check back in with chief meteorologist scott williams live in center city for the tree lighting. scott? good evening, iain and dawn. certainly a gloomy day but that's not putting a damper on the holiday cheer developing here inside the courtyard at philadelphia city hall for the annual tree lighting ceremony. now, it was in love park for several years. but now it's back at city hall. you can see crowds are gathering performers are rehearsing as well. it's just going to be a fun evening with holiday lights displayed all across this particular courtyard. take look at that massive 35-foot norway spruce. it has over 2,000led lights on it and it will be lit at around 7:55. once again the weather is cooperating. so let's talk a little bit about what is happening or not happening right now on ultimate doppler. that rain we saw earlier in the afternoon, it has moved away. so that means we will be drying out. a cold front will push through and sweep everything out but high pressure will be moving in. and as we talk about the forecast headed into tomorrow, if you want some sunshine, tomorrow will definitely be your day because we will get a break from the clouds as well as the rainfall, but as we continue to go hour by hour, cloud cover will move back in thursday night so by friday evening that's our next best chance for rainfall and once it starts, we're going to be in unsettled pattern for several days. temperatures, they have been holding pretty said dee across much of the area but there is a sharp contrast. we're looking at numbers in the low 40s and upper 30s once you move north and west into the low 50s and upper 40s as you move into parts of south jersey. for the tree lighting ceremony here at city hall tonight we're looking at dry but chilly conditions. temperatures will be in the 40s. and as we move toward the overnight time frame, look for numbers to drop into the upper 20s for the suburbs. low 30s in the city. and then the high temperature as we move ahead to thursday we'll top out right around 44 degrees so we'll see some sunshine but it will be a little cooler than it was today. seven day forecast when we show you that in just a few moments. you can see temperatures will be in the mid 40s for thursday. but as we move toward friday, and especially by the upcoming weekend, we'll be locked in with the clouds on and off again showers. there's even a shower chance as well sunday for the eagles game. but once again i'm here live inside the philadelphia city hall courtyard for the an what tree lighting ceremony been live for us this evening. those protesters throwing themselves to the ground and staying there for exactly four minutes and 30 seconds earlier saying that was how long michael brown's body was left on the ground after he was shot by a white police officer. that police officer was not indicted and that has sparked protests all around the country. of course we'll continue to follow this story experimental vaccine designed to stop breast cancer in its tracks. appears to be safe in preliminary trial. 14 women with breast cancer were april joked with the vaccine targeting a specific protein found in high amounts of breast tumors. after one year, nearly half the patients showed no sign of the disease spreading. despite the study being very small, researchers say this suggests the vaccine may boost a patient's immune response to breast cancer. the findings appearing in the journal clinical cancer resear research. the food and drug administration may soon clear the way for gay men to house. he got stuck inside the chimney after locking himself out last night. so rescue crews in scottsdale managed to get the teen out of his situation which was a little dire. the teen did get to the bottom of the chimney but he was unable to pull himself out somehow he called 911. it took officials an hour and a half before they were able to set the teen free. >> he plays the part. he's covered from head to toe you know the black charcoal from the fire and he's dirty. he's a little winded, and i think just scared from being inside there. >> wow police say the teen used a rope and electrical cord to get down the chimney in the first place. in florida hunters catch a monmouth sized alligator causing a nuisance in florida neighborhoods. but this story isn't over yet. the gator's next stop so much. >> reporter: so bubba with the help of his mom passed out flyers and started a social media mission asking people to donate new pj's or money to help purchase them. he even did some of the grand juri' decision not to indict a white police officer in the shooting death of unarmed black man and the tension certainly even higher now with similar grand jury decision coming down just hours one group is actually split off and is in a different part of the city tonight, shawnette? >> reporter: they have. philadelphia police are being deployed all around the area. all around center city. some behind me park at 17th and spring garden. now this all started with these protesters saying they were going to end up at city hall. most of them have but some of them started to split off as you just mentioned in different directions causing traffic tie ups everywhere. so let's show you some video of where this all started earlier this afternoon. it took place at 30th street station. a ferguson die in protest. people dropped to the floor at 30th street station for the lense of the time they say michael brown's body was on the ground after officer darren wilson shot and killed him. protesters then left there and headed to city hall where a tree lighting ceremony is taking place. people from all races and backgrounds have joined in on these protests hoping to make a statement. >> there. shawnette? >> reporter: dawn and iain, very powerful ferguson protest just wrapped up here behind me inside 30th street station. a crowd of people then left here, marched down to city hall halting the start of rush hour traffic. let's go inside and take a look at pictures we were able to get when this protest started. take a look. you can see that this is being called a dive in protest -- dye protest i should say held in response to a grand jury decision not to indict officer darren wilson who since retired from the police force. dozens showed up and dropped to the floor at 30th street station and remained there for four minutes and 30 seconds symbolizing the time they say michael brown's body was on the ground after he was shot and killed afterwards you can see the crowd stopped traffic as they marched to city hall. >> we're brothers and sisters in this country. racism needs to stop. you know, we shouldn't be afraid that our children will get shot and know their lives won't matter. >> reporter: lots of philadelphia police officers were here on hand as well as bike cops, standing around. from what we hear this has been peaceful so far the crowd as we just mentioned marched over to city hall that's where a tree lighting ceremony is taking place. we'll be live there and we'll bring you the latest at 6:00 o'clock. dawn, back to you. >> all right, thanks shawnette. right now at 5:00 the search for three brutal attackers. the vicious assaults caught on camera. a teenager had just left a friend's house when he was ambushed by three men. tonight that young man is recovering from some serious injuries including a broken jaw and broken teeth. those attackers are still on the loose tonight. fox 29's dave schratwieser live near the scene of the attack with the story. dave? >> reporter: dawn, the 17-year-old victim in this case is a junior at central high school. he's said to be a very good student. he has very serious injuries from this beating to night. philadelphia police are offering a reward. they're calling this a random attack. and we want to warn you, this video is disturbing. >> it's brutal. >> reporter: police say the 17 year old victim was simply waiting for a ride home after visiting a friend's house on fourth street in northern liberties when he was brutally attacked by one suspect, then another. while a third guy watched. >> he sustained a broken jaw, lost a number of teeth and some other damages to his face. >> reporter: surveillance video just released shows the suspects as they punched, kicked and stomped the teenager back on november 15th. when he struggled back into the street and went down, there was a final stomp to the victim's head. >> it appeared to be random and like i said they assault him he's outside waiting for a ride and they just jump on him and start kicking and purposing him. >> reporter: videos shows the suspect rivaling through his pockets. police say his cell phone was taken. the suspects then walked away. >> if anyone may have been out in that area may have seen anything, or recognize these individuals give us a call. >> reporter: victim was raced to jefferson hospital where he was first listed in stable condition. he's now recovering at home. >> they could have killed this young man. you kick someone in the face and the head the damage that's done a broken jaw but that could have been a fatal blow and kill this young man. >> reporter: now the description of the attackers is very vague. if you have any information at all you should call philadelphia police. we will have the latest on the investigation coming up at 6:00. iain? >> dave, thank you. fire in this manayunk home sent one man to the hospital. flames broke ought around 2:00 this afternoon along the 400 block of east hermit street. you can see the broken windows on the first floor. there's no word yet tonight on the condition of the man inside. >> the home of a former camden city fire chief goes up in flames sending his two sons to the hospital. fire started and side the home this morning on the 100 block of third avenue in mt. ephraim. former fire chief joseph marini lives in the home. medics took both of his sons to the hospital they are expected to be all right. it's not clear exactly thou fire started. a 15-year-old girl is in the hospital in critical condition with a broken leg after she was hit by a car. this happened around 6:30 this morning on the northbound lanes of roosevelt boulevard at ryan avenue. the driver of the car did stay at the scene. and there's no word on whether any charges will be filed tonight. the coast guard has suspended the search for a missing man in the christina river. three crew members working for a dredging company fell into the water after a crane barge capsized last night around the port of wilmington. two of the men did resurface but 25-year-old emmanuel gatling is still missing. >> and now to developing story. the search for a missing college student from our area. police were searching once again today at a park near where the man was last scene. meanwhile family and friends are holding a vigil at west chester university tonight for shane montgomery. that's going to happen in just about an hour. montgomery was out with friends and family on thanksgiving eve when he disappeared after leaving a manayunk bar and despite seven days of intense searching by the police, fbi, volunteers, shane's family says, that right now there are just no new leads in this case. fox 29's chris o'connell live in west chester for us tonight. chris? >> reporter: dawn, a damp and dreary night kind of setting the mood here in west chester. in about an hour from now, friends and classmates will gather on the steps of the student union here at west chester university for a candlelight vigil for the 21-year-old liberal arts major here. shaken it's been nearly a full week so far after shane went missing after a night of part partying on manayunk's main street on the eve of thanksgiving. he has not been seen despite a week long exhaustion seive search. his friends here say, they are not giving up hope. they want to keep his name out there. they want to keep his face out there in hopes someone will come forward with some information. the reward now has climbed to $31,000 for information leading to shane. a thousand of that came from the west chester student government association. now, bringing you back out here the search took place today with fbi and police at several locations. butt but so far no solid leads as friends and classmates now begin to arrive for this candlelight vigil. of course, we'll bring you back here at 6:00 o'clock for a life report on that. dawn? >> all right, thank you, chris. things are improving in your fox 29 weather authority after a really damp and dreary start. the weather is starting to clear up making it a pretty good night for a tree lighting that's where chief meteorologist scott williams is live tonight at the philadelphia tree lighting at dilworth plaza. scott? >> hi there, dawn. yes, of course, it was gloomy earlier in the day with all of that rainfall, but i'm right now live inside the core idea at city hall we're talking about the tree lighting sermon that will get underway in a couple of hours and it will be filled with holiday cheer. i'll step out of the way now. the tree lighting ceremony for the past couple of years has been at love park but it's back at city hall. take a look at the tree as we pan around. you can see it's 35-foot norway spruce from linvilla orchards in media. now, festivities begin around 6:00 o'clock and once again that tree lighting itself will take place right around 7:55. so let's talk a little bit about the weather because ultimate doppler earlier was pretty busy showing some of the damp and dreary conditions but right now you can see that rainfall has begun to move away. high pressure will be moving in behind that system and that will usher in drier conditions overnight and also we're looking at temperatures dropping as we move ahead but right now you can see we're still socked in with the cloud cover at the airport. temperatures are in the 40s. humidity is up there as well. so still pretty humid if you're stepping outdoors. temperatures right now, you can see a sharp contrast we're looking at 50s in atlantic city and wildwood. but along the i-95 corridor, we're in the 40s and for the tree lighting ceremony itself, dry and chilly, temperatures will be in the 40s. we'll talk about more rain though hears a lawsuit filed against ups today. the issue discrimination against pregnant women. the out come could have wide ranging effects nationwide. pennsylvania senator bob casey was among those gathering outside the hearing today in support of peggy young. she is suing ups saying the company laid her off more than eight year ago wild she was pregnant. she says she gave a doctor's note and requested light duty but instead was placed op unpaid leave. she says the company grants such requests for people who are injured on the job and should have accommodated her as well. ups maintaining it did not intentionally discriminate young did take her case to two lower courts and lost. just recently ups changed its policy so that pregnant employees will be eligible for light duty work. >> the counts down is on for nasa's launch of its orion space craft. a rocket scheduled to black off at 7:05 tomorrow morning from cape canaveral florida. good launch weather is in the forecast. orion set to fly further than human rated space craft since apollo moon program. lucy noland is at cape canaveral coming up at 5:30 we'll check in with her life to find out where orion is head and why this mission is so important. >> sexual allegations against bill cosby move into court. >> now, a woman is suing the legendary comedian over an assault that she says happened decades ago when she was just 15 years old. the impact this latest development could have. and video that's hard to believe. police believe this woman walked the streets of new orleans slashing people. the big search that's now underway. >> and later, the future is now. a storm in one part of the country is testing robots that could one day serve you. we'll show you hoy it all work. >> there's been yet another claim against bill cosby alleging i a sexual assault this time it's not just a woman speaking to a tv cam are she wants to take him to court. it's the first time a woman has come forward saying she was underage at the time of the alleged incident and fox 29's brad satin is here in the stud studio. brad she claims this happened some 40 years ago? >> reporter: 1974. a long time ago. of course, statute of limitations has long run out but her lawsuit tries to get around that by claiming she only recently connected her years of psychological problems to bill cosby's alleged sexual advances four decades ago. for the first time in nine years the allegations against bill cosby have moved from the court of public opinion to court. a lawsuit filed in los angeles by a woman named judy huth55 years old alleges when she was just 15, she and a 16-year-old girlfriend were approached by which is bee and taken to the playboy mansion and told by him "if any of the playboy bunnies ask their age they should say they were 19. her lawsuit says she was given drinks and upon leaving a bathroom cosby proceeded to sexually molest her. over the years she claimed she suffered psychological damage and that the cause of it was only discovered within the last three years. a repressed memory for nearly 40 years? >> something they don't like they'll block it out. they'll be slightly reminded of it and all of a sudden it will come back up. >> reporter: even years later. >> even years later. 20, 30, 40. everyone deserves their day in court and i think that just because she was intimidated and maybe had these repressed memories doesn't mean she shouldn't be heard out. >> it's not too farfetched and you've venous a lot of these abused case that is involved priests and other members of the clergy. >> this former federal prosecutor says this case against cosby races a big red flag. >> this woman basically hit hid her head in the sand for decades and now that bill cosby is on the front page of of major newspaper and across television she's decided that suffered injuries. that's a tough case. >> reporter: california statute of limitations is 10 years. that's long gone. but there is a provision for victims to come forward in the state within three years after discovering the source of their psychological injuries was sexual abuse from years earlier. still he believes -- >> long way from collecting money. >> a spokeswoman for the pennsylvania coalition against rape tells me it's not unusual for sexual assault victims roo repress memories like that and all these claims against cosby right now could possibly have sparked a memory. she believes that this woman should have her day in court but as you heard our former federal prosecutor say he believes likely won't get that far. iain. brad, thank you. >> a fire in money county knocks out power in the area. firefighters say it broke out at the on the 900 block of montgomery avenue after 4:00 a.m. no one was inside at the time. it took a few hours to get the flames out. firefighters say the damage is extensive. power was shut off in the area as firefighters say the fire may have been sparked by peco lines. philadelphia police need your help to find a missing elderly man with dementia. 78-year-old aaron lee was last seen around 3:30 yesterday afternoon on septa bus route 7 at 22nd and tasker streets. he's 5-foot seven, he weighs 170 pounds, bald with a medium build and he needs medication. if you know anything that could help police find him, you're asked to give them call. united airlines ended flights to atlantic city international airport just eight months after starting them. united said the routes didn't attract enough passengers to turn a profit. in fact the south jersey transportation authority says there were only 16 people on a 50 seat plane to chicago yesterday. united's decision is yet another blow to a struggling atlantic city which has seen four of its 12 casinos go out of business so far this year. >> a mercer county community will offer vaccinations to residents after an area restaurant worker tests positive for hepatitis a. we first brought you this story yesterday. hamilton township says anyone who ate food from rosa's restaurant and catering between november 10th and monday of this week should get the vaccination if they have never been vaccinated before. now, hepatitis a symptoms include mild fever, loss of appetite, nausea, jaundice, fatigue, vomiting and diarrhea. the clinics will be tomorrow from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 in the evening at the colonial volunteer fire company on kuser road. each scene on tv section. air bag maker is defiantly refusing to voluntarily recall products after two drivers were hurt by faulty inflaters so now some auto makers are stepping up and telling lawmakers on capitol hill they're expanding their own recalls of a certain type of air bag. fox's rich edison has the story. >> reporter: lawmakers and regulators want to know why air bag manufacturer refuses to expand its recall. air bag maker takata says there's insufficient evidence to broaden its current recall. the company issued recalls for about 8 million cars. lawmakers say, that's not enou enough. >> i've received letters from constituents who are literally afraid to drive their cars and this is unacceptable. >> reporter: senior vice-president apologized for the defects. the national highway traffic safety administration requested the company order a nationwide recall takata refuses. >> we have confidence in the integrity of our engineering and our current manufacturing process cease here in the united states. >> reporter: on tuesday night the agency released a statement saying "takata shares responsibility for keeping drivers safe and we believe anything short of a national recall does not live up to that responsibility" however, some of the auto makers are stepping up on their own recalls. honda is the first major car manufacturer to expand its air bag recall to all 50 states. in addition to the required first class mail notification we have made hundreds of thousands of phone calls. used overnight male delivery. and retainly sent letters in both english and spanish. >> meanwhile lawmakers say they'll continue pushing takata to prioritize safety. >> we still don't know if the root problem has been addressed. >> reporter: nhtsa can impose fines of $35 million on degrees but it will be seen by a heat shield that we haven't severed. this is the largest heat shield ever been on a capsule using technologies that aren't proven. >> this flight is all about ma making sure orion is safe for astronauts. >> at the end of the day this is one of the reasons we're doing this test to gather the data because we'll send astronauts into deep space. >> nasa is testing everything from the biggest heat shield ever created to orion's parachute system for soft landing in the pacific. and a bucks county company is absolutely critical to getting the multitude of data dreary yukky kind of day. >> let's get check back in with chief meteorologist scott williams live in center city for the tree lighting. scott? good evening, iain and dawn. certainly a gloomy day but that's not putting a damper on the holiday cheer developing here inside the courtyard at philadelphia city hall for the annual tree lighting ceremony. now, it was in love park for several years. but now it's back at city hall. you can see crowds are gathering performers are rehearsing as well. it's just going to be a fun evening with holiday lights displayed all across this particular courtyard. take look at that massive 35-foot norway spruce. it has over 2,000led lights on it and it will be lit at around 7:55. once again the weather is cooperating. so let's talk a little bit about what is happening or not happening right now on ultimate doppler. that rain we saw earlier in the afternoon, it has moved away. so that means we will be drying out. a cold front will push through and sweep everything out but high pressure will be moving in. and as we talk about the forecast headed into tomorrow, if you want some sunshine, tomorrow will definitely be your day because we will get a break from the clouds as well as the rainfall, but as we continue to go hour by hour, cloud cover will move back in thursday night so by friday evening that's our next best chance for rainfall and once it starts, we're going to be in unsettled pattern for several days. temperatures, they have been holding pretty said dee across much of the area but there is a sharp contrast. we're looking at numbers in the low 40s and upper 30s once you move north and west into the low 50s and upper 40s as you move into parts of south jersey. for the tree lighting ceremony here at city hall tonight we're looking at dry but chilly conditions. temperatures will be in the 40s. and as we move toward the overnight time frame, look for numbers to drop into the upper 20s for the suburbs. low 30s in the city. and then the high temperature as we move ahead to thursday we'll top out right around 44 degrees so we'll see some sunshine but it will be a little cooler than it was today. seven day forecast when we show you that in just a few moments. you can see temperatures will be in the mid 40s for thursday. but as we move toward friday, and especially by the upcoming weekend, we'll be locked in with the clouds on and off again showers. there's even a shower chance as well sunday for the eagles game. but once again i'm here live inside the philadelphia city hall courtyard for the an what tree lighting ceremony left on the ground after he was shot by a white police officer. that police officer was not indicted and that has sparked protests all around the country. of course we'll continue to follow this story house. he got stuck inside the chimney after locking himself out last night. so rescue crews in scottsdale managed to get the teen out of his situation which was a little dire. the teen did get to the so much. >> reporter: so bubba with the help of his mom passed out flyers and started a social media mission asking people to donate new pj's or money to help purchase them. he even did some of the shopping himself. >> looked cute, it was good. >> reporter: his friend matt pitched in to help. >> this is awesome. i think it's a great thing helping kids and everything. it's great. >> reporter: some behind me park at 17th and spring garden. now this all started with these protesters saying they were going to end up at city hall. most of them have but some of them started to split off as you just mentioned in different directions causing traffic tie ups everywhere. so let's show you some video of where this all started earlier this afternoon. it took place at 30th street station. a ferguson die in protest. people dropped to the floor at 30th street station for the lense of the time they say michael brown's body was on the ground after officer darren wilson shot and killed him.
