Only fox 29 us what there as investigators searched through this home in West Oak Lane. It is major progress for an investigation that has lasted the better part of a week and it may ab big step toward bringing the killer and his accomplices to justice. Fox 29s Dave Schratwieser sat Police Headquarters in philly. Hoping police are getting closer here. Reporter no arrest just yet lucy but this investigation has fast tracked this afternoon after Police Seized some evidence at that home in West Oak Lane including what were told is the laptop that belongs to 85yearold murder victim Regina Holmes. That was done around 1 30 this afternoon. Three persons of interest are now here at the homicide unit. Including two who were brought in in just the last 90 minutes. Fox 29 cameras were rolling as Police Brought two persons of interest in the murder of 85yearold Regina Holmes into Police Headquarters just before 5 00. Three people are now being questioned by homicide detectives. Were making very good progress. Reporter only fox 29 was there as homicide detectives and crime seen investigators left the home in West Oak Lane with a laptop computer sources say belongs to 85yearold murder victim Regina Holmes. The search came as police pressed their hunt for her killer. Our detectives are working very hard. They are make something progress and hopefully were able to bring it in. Investigators also seized a 2. 5foot safe from the home along with credit cards and a identification. Reportedly belonging to the murder victim who was beaten stabbed and had her throat slashed. To die so violent its certainly something that ought to be of concern to everybody. Reporter police recovered the victims stolen 2007 Toyota Corolla on tuesday on the 3100 love stillman street in north philadelphia. Sources tell fox 29 police have searched that area for other evidence that might be connected to the murder. Obviously whenever you have an older person killed all murders obviously are tragic, but there are some that kind of stand out amongst others and certainly this is one of those. Reporter now those persons of interest were picked up by the Us Marshals Fugitive Task force this afternoon again no arrest at this hour. Philadelphias Police Commissioner explaining a controversial change in policy rowing the names of officers involved in shootings. The Philadelphia Police Department Says it will begin naming officers in police shootings. It reverses a Department Policy that kept the names secret over safety concerns. The commissioner says the department will evaluate each shooting before releasing the names. Within 72 hours well be releasing their names unless there is a threat made against the officer members of the family or Something Like that. We also have a protocol that were putting in place to make sure that the officers and their families are safe during that period of time. Philadelphia has had more than 400 officer involved shootings since 2007. The department was criticized for waiting six months tonight. Friends say that he was that kind of person who really was liked by everyone. He was one of the happiest people i knew, and how somebody like that could just be gone. The 17yearold was swimming with Three Friends at this quarry on state fish and Wildlife Management property in Monroe Township when he went under the water and drowned. A lot of people stay shallow. They dont go out far because theres currents in there, theres under tow in there and its dangerous if you go out farther. Police in West Kensington trying to figure out how a young boy fell out of a second story row home window. 100 block of huntington street is where it all happened just after 10 00 a. M. Saint peters relies on parents for so many events. They have about 21 different events we have parents volunteer for each year. Its probably going to drastically increase the amount that we have come on in regular basis knowing they cant just stop in to volunteer for an event because they dont have clearances. Part of the problem this all just happened yesterday and schools are scrambling to get the word out. Many of them are away. They dont know that this happened. The first of 150 new Wheelchair Accessible taxi cabs were put in service. New taxis are outfitted with speak features just for people in wheel chairs. The vehicles can now open from the back and allow the person in the wheelchair to get in without having to get out of the chair and for some of its been a long time coming. The more taxi that is we have and the more accessible they will be that we dont have to worry about one or two taxis we can call any taxi company and any service and able to get a taxi thats accessible for. But as we look at those temperatures not that bad upper 60s in places like Atlantic City millville we have mid 70s where we havent seen that rainfall far north and west. Temperatures right now down the shore you can see upper 60s to right around 70 degrees. So most of the thunderstorm activity Severe Weather in parts of georgia and the carolinas so for tomorrow, it look like most of the rain is going to hold off to our south.
