tonight, if you, actor/comedian tracie morgan won't be leaving the hospital anytime soon. thanks for joining us at 6:00 tonight i'm joyce evans. now we're learning more about morgan's condition following that deadly six vehicle chain reaction crash, that happened early saturday morning, along the new jersey turnpike. fox 29's chris o'connell joining us now live in the news room, with the very latest, on morgan's condition and the investigation, hi, chris. >> reporter: tracie morgan suffered a broken leg, broken femur, broken nose and self broken ribs. he is still in critical condition tonight, he did undergo surgery today at any new brunswick, new jersey hospital. he is said to be responsive and according to his publicist he is talking. meanwhile the wal-mart truck driver charge in the crash, is out of jail, after posting a $50,000 bail. federal investigators you now looking into whether there were safety issues in the wake of the saturday's six car pile up. the crash left actor/comedian tracie morgan and two others in critical condition. minister again's mentor six two-year old james mcnair who goes by the stage name uncle jimmy mack is also dead. this is mcnair's facebook page where you see morgan in several pictures. new jersey state police say that 35 year-old kevin roper of georgia, failed to slow down for traffic. the the 18 wheeler then smashed into morgan's chauffeured mercedes limo bus, morgan and his entourage were on their way back from a comedy show in delaware. also, injured in the crash morgan's assistant jeffery mallea and fellow comedian artiefoqa. now in a statement, morgan's publicist says his family is tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of support of his pans the actor receiving messages of support on twitter tonight, here's one of them philly's kevin hart saying on this sunday i ask all of you to throw a special prayer up for the big fellow my friend, tracie morgan. he has been on my mind heavy. this one from actor samuel l jackson sending prayers out to trace i morgan. i hope for a full recovery from his accident. good vibes, for a good dude. that one coming from samuel l jackson. now morgan's publicist also says that she expects the comedian to be in the hospital, joyce, for at least another few weeks. joyce? >> all right, thanks chris for that report. happening right now police say two women are facing charges tonight after getting into a knife fight over a man. the confrontation happened around 10:30 this morning outside of a wawa in runnemede, new jersey. investigators say one of the women had trapped her husband to her cell even if to the store and then got into it with the woman believed to be the man's girl friend. they say the wife threw a punch and other woman pulled a knife. store employee tried to break up the fight. >> during the fight, a gaza tend ant attempted to split up the two females, and the gaza tend antis named is not being released at this time. we have to notify family. he was stabbed in the arm. >> police say both of women and store worker were taken to the hospital, but that none of their injuries are life threatening at this time. have a few more hours, joyce it is only 6:00 o'clock on a sunday night and sunset not until after 8:30 p.m. here's what we are track ago cross the state, showers and thunderstorms some of which are severe in south central, pennsylvania it. it is heading towards us. i don't think we will see much rain until after midnight, tonight but a couple showers out ahead of the main event is possible. we are seeing them in lancaster county and harrisburg we are seeing some showers edge into a portion of berks county, now here's the severe weather, we have severe thunderstorm warnings again through portion s of south central pennsylvania crossing over into parts of the maryland and west virginia, lightening and heavy rain, and we have scenery peteed severe thunderstorm warnings for this cluster, hail and gusty wind exist this is far off to the west, they are fueled by the heat of the day so by the time showers reach us i do not expect to be severe or all that strong. we have had warm weather though to day out ahead of the coal front, 82 in philadelphia. seventy-nine in pottstown. seventy-six in wilmington. seventy-six in million will. seventy-five in ac on a nice end to the weekend. fox future cast shows we were all going to see white the time these showers reach us after midnight. they fizzle out. i wouldn't rule out thunder but looks to be just some rain. that being said though we will see rain increase as we head toward morning drive tomorrow so factor in extra time for the commute, it looks like we will have rain on and off almost all day tomorrow. so some rain after midnight you, on my fox philly.com. a man and a woman are hot in the olney section of philadelphia, one has died. police were called to fifth and roosevelt boulevard, just after 11:00. they say both victims were rush to the hospital but man did not survive. woman is in stable condition tonight, police say they have arrested the shooter. and a shooting claims the life of the man in north philadelphia, the victim was found after 5:00 this morning on the 2500 block of 31st street. police say he was shot once in the chest and was lying under the front end of the car, there is no word on a motive or an arrest. three people are out of a place to live tonight, following a police chase that ended with a car slamming into their house. it happened on the 700 block of sycamore street in camden, new jersey. just after midnight. the home was damage by the car. three women who lived there have not been allowed back inside just yet. the red cross is providing some help. we don't know yet if the suspect being chased was actually arrested. a little boy in western pennsylvania is suspended from school, after he accidentally brought a toy gun to school. now according to the boy's parent, when he realized right away he brought the gun to school he took it to his teacher thinking he was doing the the right thing, but soon after that, school officials called the parents and said their son was ant loud back in class. >> i sent it to the teacher. >> handed it over and said i'm not supposed to this. >> this kid clearly succeeded in the circumstance and milk message we are sending them now by being punished. >> reporter: the child has finish serving his suspension and he will be in class for the last day of school. democratic national committee says it is considering six cities for its 2016 convention, including philadelphia. also in the running, birmingham,al bam, columbus, ohio, cleveland, ohio, new york city and feign i can, arizona. a group of dnc officials will conduct site surveys to evaluate the cities. they are not expect to make a decision until later this year or earl 2015. a veteran was riding his bicycle from florida to new york for a good cause. he will even his bumps on the road spending time in the hospital. connor chose freedom towers as his destination because he calls it a symbol for the war on terror. a war where sergeant alan cash lost his life. harry connor keeps pedaling for a purpose. >> i started out in orlando, florida and through yesterday i've got 1,113 miles. >> reporter: he carries 50-pound of necessities and the hope sergeant alan cash will be one day a recipient of the honor. >> sergeant cash's bravery was farrah above and beyond the call of duty. >> reporter: in october 2005 cashes scaped an ambush attack in iraq. covered in fuel he returned to a burning vehicle and pulled out six others. cash later died from severe burns, but his credit is with saving the lives of two soldiers. >> i calculated that he had to have been on fire somewhere between four minutes and 15 seconds and four and a half minutes. >> reporter: veteran himself, connor also served in the army for eight years back in the 70's. he never met cash but feels connected to him. >> sergeant cash was a drill sergeant, so was i, he was this is third infantry so was i. >> reporter: six two-year old says he has been biking for 32 days now. >> little bit lonely but i have got plenty to think about along the way. >> reporter: despite traveling more than a thousand miles, he is not the hitting the brakes. >> in comparison to what sergeant cash did on october 17th of 2005, riding a bicycle 1100 miles is a walk through the park. >> reporter: in the course of his journey he formed a relation ship with cash's family. he hopes relationship he is forming with the road will help pay tribute to cash's legacy. >> i really think everybody needs to do something really good for somebody else once in their life and hopefully this is mine. >> reporter: nice words sanitation workers helped stop a crime just by being in the right place at the right time. they were picking up garbage thursday afternoon when they heard a teenage girl, screaming for help. she said that somebody was trying to get her, when one of the workers went into the house, he saw a window screen had been taken out, and an intruder was inside of the house. the suspect ran away but the other worker was out in front of the house and he tackled him. >> i put my knees down on his chest and tried to hold him down. a replied more pressure on my neon his chest and he kept hollering let me go, mom said they were driving on 94 in st. peters when it came down on top of them. she was on the phone with her husband. >> he was yelling at me, he said, go south, go south. i said what do you want me to do. i said no, i'm in the the tornado right now. >> reporter: in a neighborhood nearby the cedar grove condos you can see the debris that she was talking about. a stop sign ripped from the ground and, look at this, that is a street sign, driven in the side of a home, right up to the e in cedarville drive. >> and right next door there was lined up pots, not even touched. >> reporter: debbie ly machines name described how storm jumped around in strange ways. it seemed to end by this shopping center and then we found this giant brick sign on its side and what appears to be, a wind blown path into this neighborhood. big pieces of this roof blew away and home owner found them hoping to secure them before the next rain. we're on the other side of 49 near ashford lane where these garage doors discovery, in australia. what police say they found human remains inside the the belly of a large crock, investigators believe they may belong to the missing six two-year old man who may have been snatched right out of his boat by that same crock. welshing california chrome is recovering from his gash to his foot today. a wound that possibly caused him the triple crown but horse's loss sparked a heater response from his co-owner. as fox's julie banderas reports he is outrage that the top two horse that he is won yesterday's race didn't even compete in the first two races. >> perhaps it is the spread out the results would have been different or had all horses competed in all three legs of the kentucky derby, preakness and belmont we would be talking about another win tore day but instead we're talking about a sore loser. the winner of the belmont didn't race in all three legs, the co-owner steve coburn wants racing rules change after his horse fell short of getting the triple crown a title that has not been awarded in 36 years. coburn's bitter reaction getting more attention than the race itself. >> it is not fair to these horses that have been in the game since day one. i look at it this way if you cannot make enough points to get in the kentucky derby, you cannot run in the other two races. it is all or nothing. because this is not fair to these horses that have been grunting their guts out for these people and for the people that they leave them in, to have somebody come in. thinks a coward's way out. this is a coward's way out in my opinion. >> reporter: of the 11 horses who competed in the belmont, only three ran the derby and preakness and three tough races in just five weeks, racing experts say it is just too demanding for any three-year horse to have little room to rest in between. for some horse train fierce their horse doesn't win the derby they hold them out of the preakness knowing extra rest gives them a advantage in the mile and a half stretch at bell monday. the long distance took a toll on chrome who was seen with the foot injury after the race. photos taken while chrome was walking back to the barn after his loss, show he had a sore, in your neighborhood. it looks like the scene of the earthquake or an explosion, some people have turned this nearly block long, vacant lot on north 19th street in the shadow of temple university into their personal city dump. construction debris, old tires, all kinds of trash, even a tomb stone. more on that shortly. >> somebody dumped their couch over there report report earl lively has been trying to get the city to do something, about the site, since last year. >> when one didn't answer, 911 didn't respond, in one respond, our councilman, mayor's office, no one, state represents, in one helps. we're their last resort. channel 29 to hopefully get some help. >> there is construction work going on here too. >> is there sharp objects. >> reporter: lively cannot get the site cleaned up and he cannot get anyone to go have after whoever is dumping here, like the person, who tossed thomas and charles royal's tomb stone in the vacant lot. >> this is a part of my family. they throw tonight there with bricks and trash and dirt and mess. like it is nothing. like it is nothing. >> reporter: we track down thomas and charles relatives to let them know what we found. dion morgan says her uncle pays $2,100 for the stone. she was appalled when we showed her where it turned up. >> if you didn't contact us, we would have never known that we didn't get the stone that we paid for. we would have never known. >> reporter: she quickly called relatives to help retrieve her aunt and cousin's tomb stone. the cemetery where royals are buried told us that the stone was made by williams family monument company just blocks from the place where it was, discarded. >> it pains me and i'm very angry. i'm very, very and gray. i can't. >> reporter: who dumped the head stone and why is a mystery. we went to the monument company seeking answers but the company is chained and padlocked. back in the dump site resident like paullet bruce who lives right next to it fear for safety of children. >> in one wants to sit out here, looking in that garbage and all this stuff. a child could fall down in the hole or anything. >> reporter: so we took and we took what we found and community's pleas for help in the city, managing director's office tells thaws citations have been sent to two property owners and promises the site will be cleaned up. but most of the lot is owned by the city itself so taxpayers will put much of the bill, for that clean up. >> someone will get hurt if we don't clean it up. >> reporter: this neighborhood is being revitalized by lots of new housing largely for temple students, some even overlooking the the lot that has become the city dump but sites like this and others similar ones nearby have a bad effect on the entire neighborhood. >> it brings down the neighborhood because it doesn't make neighborhoods look decent. it is a mess to live in. to live next to something like that. >> reporter: problem at 19th and north is far from unique. city officials tell thrust were 40,000 vacant lots in the city but silt i government only has enough money to clean up, about 2,000 a year. jeff cole, fox 29 news. a massive drug bust in costa rica, fascinated with him this one seems to be interested in him. >> reporter: rays say zeke is a five-year old mix they have adopted from georgetown animal outreach. when margaret heard him doing barking in the backyard recently she went outside to check it out. i was just as extonish, i watched him before they occurred, i had my cell phone in my hand so at that point i just started filming. >> reporter: like many who see videos, stephanie web said she never has seen anything quite like it. >> she is just having fun, you know, something to play with, and willing playmate, and he is just going back and forth and they are both obviously having a good time. >> reporter: it looks like deer have been enjoying themselves too. that same deer, came back, to run some more. >> as you can see couple showers getting a head of the main event making tonight to our western suburbs. dry here in philadelphia we have got light rain along 76 which extend from harrisburg back into lebanon, lancaster area and could eventually move into northern chester county. that is where it is headed. then maybe into delaware county and montgomery county seeing a few sprinkles. heavier stuff back towards the west. severe thunderstorm warnings ongoing, it is mainly south of the pennsylvania border and that severe weather threat may extend closer to washington and baltimore. as we move hnat of
