You can see just north of lancaster watching some moderate to heavy rain thats moving to the west of the reading area where you see that red as well as the orange showing you some pretty good downpours and also watching activity moving into sections of Mercer County climb clipping the trenton area but not severe. So as we scan the view you can see were watching Severe Thunderstorm Warnings those yellow boxes once again off to the west of our area. But take a look at the visible satellite from space. It really tells the story. You can see some breaks in the clouds showing you some sunshine and thats where were seeing some of the Severe Weather erupting off to the west with those cumulonimbus clouds growing. Outdoors right now were watching those puffy cumulus clouds starting to grow get a little more ominous. 75 degrees is the temperature right now. But look at the humidity creeping up there 62 . Winds are out of the south at about 8 miles an hour. And perfect visible. So we have the sunshine across the area. That is helping to diss stabilize the atmosphere one of the ingredients like baking a cake you need the eggs, you need the baking powder, baking soda and flour. The humidity is there. We have the moisture dew point noose the 60s. So were looking at any of those storms to produce damaging winds, hail, perhaps an isolated tornado now once again everyone is not going to see that Severe Weather if underneath one of those cells well be watching at winds gusting to 60 miles an hour and quarter sided or half dollar sized hail. But look at the dew points right now. Climbing into the low even mid 60s as we move into new castle and kent county in sections of delaware. So what about the timing. Really now through about 10 00 oclock even toward midnight we have that opportunity of seeing strong cells. By 6 00 p. M. Were watching most of the action start to roll in from the west. We were showing you in State College and also toward pittsburgh. By 7 00 oclock moving toward the pocono mountains. Berks county moving into sections of delaware as well. By 8 00 oclock moving closer to the philadelphia area then as we continue toward nine, 10 00 oclock the activity starts to move into south jersey as well as delaware. You can see it will be scattered about across the area. Especially after about six 7 00 oclock and then most of the action tapers off after midnight setting us up for a beautiful tuesday across our area. So scattered storms some strong to severe.
