The students put flags at the Vietnam Veterans memorial a total of 648 flags were placed at the memorial by students from the Girard Academy of music program, and Lasalle College high school. Flags mimmics two folded flags and the speaker at the event was colonel Timothy Williams who currently is the executive director of the philadelphia Veterans Multi Service center. Veterans and people who gave their lives its just like amazing gift that theyve given to us. So its great to be able to give back to those who fought to give us freedom. See you at 6 00. Update on deadly stabbing in kensington we first reported last night. Police say the man who died was actually the attacker. Police say he burst into a 57yearold mans bedroom on the 3400 block of frankford avenue last night. Police say the 47yearold attacker began hitting the victim with a metal book end and stabbed him with knives. The victim managed to grab a knife from his attacker and establish him in the chest. The victim then ran off and police took him to the hospital. Hes in critical condition. The attacker died at the scene. Theirs no word yet on a motive. On this memorial day, new york citys mayor honored a navy seal who died during a fleet week demonstration in north jersey at the intrepid sea air and space museum mayor bill diblasio says its a shock to see the loss but our solidarity with the seals is strong. The navy seals parachute tift, his parachute did not open yesterday over the hudson river near liberty state park. Thats those high tides along the shore points and thats when we could see localized flooding for the jersey shore beaches and back no the delaware beaches as well. Current setup showing us at this point your cloud cover is starting to break apart you may see a few peeks of sunshine and then through the overnight we are expecting once again the chance for isolated shower. Weve got a warm front right to the south of us. So its keeping all of that warm air to the south of us. And but it is pushing in some of that moisture. So thats why we do have a lot of that cloud cover and some of those shower chances and patchy fog building in the region. Severe storms down through the carolinas and into georgia possible through the next few hours. So lets track out your future cast see when we could see those showers return. You can see for the rest of the evening a lot of cloud cover and then showers start to move in as we head into early tuesday morning.
