Its horrifying phone call for any parent to receive and see your child come home from school with cuts on his arms and possibly a broken bone and this parent says it was at the hands of a teachers aid. It was my biggest nightmare. My biggest fear came true. Reporter she got call yesterday afternoon from her sons care takers jordan a 15 year old with autism got hurt at school. Jordan is able to convey that he was hit punched in the face twice. Reporter torres says her son told her it was at the hands of a classroom aid. She shared these pictures of jordan with cuts on his arm, bruises across his chest and a swollen likely broken nose. He was up all night crying like he had nightmares. Reporter torres was told by an administrator at arch way lower school in atco, new jers jersey, that yesterday her son was found pinned against the corner of a classroom closet crying while an aide stood over him screaming. The school has not confirmed this with us. She actually observed what was going on and she said protocol was to remove the student to make sure that he was safe and call the state. I asked if police was called she said no. Reporter torres immediately made that call. Shes pressing charges against the aid who allegedly be a salted her son. It was assault on a vulnerable child with disabilities. Reporter Waterford Township Police say they are reviewing the case. Arch way school would not confirm details of the incident nor would they confirm the status of the staph member accused in the assault. They issued a statement saying the safety of our students is and always will be our top priority. We immediately reported the incident to the new jersey institutional abuse Investigation Unit and are cooperating fully with their investigation as well as that of the Waterford Township Police we are fully committed to providing a safe and secure environment for those in our care. He was struck here at lehigh and aramingo and thrown off of his scooter around 9 00. Tragic accident because this 35yearold victim after being struck was according to witnesses dragged underneath of the striking vehicle about 200 feet. Accident investigation officers did find about 200 feet of drag marks from the victims body. Reporter horrified witnesses wrote down the tag number and got a good description of the vehicle a pontiac aztec. Police found the car a few blocks away with the tale tell tag and towed in it to test it for dna and fingerprints. Late this afternoon a who lives right across the street where the vehicle was parked on cedar street was taken into custody. Tommys family watched and sobbed. They live only blocks away in Port Richmond. Investigators took numerous beer bottles and other evidence in for testing and spoke with the attorney for the possible suspect. A judge sentencing 21yearold Jonathan Rosa to 45 to 90 years in prison. It was in july of 2014 when prosecutors say rosa and another man force add woman into her c car, sexually assaulted her as they drove around.
