just hours philadelphia district attorney seth williams will be processed by the fbi and faces first court hearing as the accused, fraud, bribery, corruption, good evening i'm iain page and the da is accused of taking lavish gifts even cash in exchange for faves just last month williams announced he will not seek another term. our dave schratwieser has been following this story all day long and joins us live at fbi headquarters in center city. dave? >> reporter: iain, da seth williams is due here in federal court at 2:00 o'clock tomorrow afternoon to face federal corruption charges. that 23 count indictment could put him behind bars for up to 20 years. federal prosecutors say he made 175 grand as da and took thousands more in illegal bribes. >> mr. williams was willing to compromise his position of public trust in he can change for private financial gain. >> from dinners and cocktails at prestigious union league to good cigar from holt's on walnut street, seth williams had a taste for the finer things in life. but tuesday, he went from a high profile da to an accused criminal. >> it's distressing to imagine a public service tasked with enforcing the law could put quid pro quo ahead of justice for a all. >> federal prosecutors accused of williams of taking over 20 grand in gifts from business owner in exchange for help with security screening at the airport. >> the corrupt stream payments came in the form of $2,000 in cash. $7,000 check which mr. williams deposited into his personal account. and all inclusive vacation to punta cana in the dominican republic worth about $6,300. >> reporter: williams even asking for a second trip pun at a can in a text message saying "i amirly a thankful beggar and don't want to over step my bounds in asking but will gladly go". >> williams allegedly took 16 airline tickets an car in return for helping a close friend and bar owner with liquor license problems in california. >> mr. williams stood ready to help business owner number two as needed. mr. williams appointed business owner number two as special adviser to the district attorney' office and gave him an official badge. >> reporter: williams stands charged with defrauding a local nursing home and a relative who was being cared for there. >> mr. williams simply took money that did not belong to him. >> reporter: williams will face the charges in federal court on wednesday. >> we don't indict a case unless we have a good faith reason to believe we'll provision case beyond a reasonable doubt. >> reporter: seth williams was not available for comment today. his new attorney mike diamond steen tolls me tonight he will vigorously defend himself against the charges and he vehemently denies that he ever did anything to impact criminal case in his office. iain? >> all right, dave, thanks there are jaw-dropping details in this indictment. chris o'connell joins us way closer look. chris? >> iain these are the stunning allegations against one of the most politically powerful men in the city. tonight he's just hours away from turning himself in on fraud and bribery charges. the 50 page indictment outlines in one case how williams tried to help a business owner get a lighter prison sentence for a friend. according to prosecutors williams got a laundry list of bribes from 2010 to 2015. including a $200 louie vuitton tie, a 300-dollar i pad. a $6,000 trip to punta cana with a private beach and butler. da also got a 3200 dock custom sofa along with burr bury watch and $9,000 in cash and check. the indictment also outlines how williams accepted trips from another businessman to florida, san diego and las vegas. along with a 1997 jaguar convertible valued at more than four grand. in exchange for favors. >> business owner number two directed mr. williams to obtain a confidential police report which of course mr. williams d did. >> reporter: prosecutors say williams went back even asking for more in one text message saying "i don't want to be greedy but maybe we can all go to your place in san diego before you sell it. maybe august before they start school ". >> along with criminal charges williams also faces property forfeiture that could force him to pay over $100,000. williams is due in federal cou court. we will be there as this story continues to unfold. >> chris, thank you. on your radar, you want to keep millville it's it's down to 38. we'll watch the front move through and during the day tomorrow the winds begin to kick up, they become northwesterly behind this front. we're talking about high temperatures only in the 30s. combine that with a gusty wind and it's going feel much colder. as we go hour by hour, tomorrow morning 7:00 a.m. to the north and west of philadelphia wind chills in the teens at best. poconos it will feel like zero. from until philadelphia south and east it will feel like it's in the 20's 20 the wind chill in trenton overnight tonight. look for low temperature of 35 degrees. wind chills in the 20s. the whipped really gets going. a blustery day for your friday the high 39. wind chills in the 20s in the afternoon gust to 35 miles an hour. as we take a look at the hope so, kathy. all right. thank you. breaking right now in south jersey, police are investigate a shooting in pemberton. skyfox was over the scene less than an hour ago on kingsly road and bush street. you can see a lot of police activity there. right now though we know one person was shot. but the injuries are unclear. sky fox over another shooting this one in philadelphia's logan second. 19-year-old man is in critical condition tonight after someone shot him on the 1300 block of olney avenue. the bullets him him in his stomach and back around 5:00 this evening. he is now fighting for his life at einstein medical center. police have not -- have made an arrest police identified the young teen who succumb to injuries from a shooting earlier this month. investigators are telling us that 13-year-old quasir davis died on sunday after he was shot in his head in hunting park friday march 10th. medics rush him to the temple university hospital but he did not make it. police are looking for the shooter they're not sure of a mow testify. chester city homeowner is desperate to sell her place in the wake of violence made a mockery of the promises made to her when she moved to the petersopetercity. that was a first time home buyer in 2010. city officials point to do a new soccer stadium and casino nearby to claim the came ravaged city was on its way back. gunfire near her parents in one local school addition tribute are upset tonight about a change in a high school locker room policy but they only found out about it after another family's lawsuit. fox 29's shawnette wilson is here now with the story. shawnette. >> reporter: iain, some are upset because they say the school didn't notify them about the change in policy. others say the change is a violation of student privacy. >> i think we should be made aware of these things. >> reporter: change in the locker room policy at boyertown high school has laurie upset. her son is a student there. she says school officials didn't notify her or her son that a student born female who identifies as a boy is now allowed to use the boy's locker room. >> i'm not thrilled with it. >> many parents found out about it today after 11th grade boy and his family filed a lawsuit against the boyertown school district. a lawyer for the 17-year-old says he was changing in the boy's locker room he noticed other student undress there too. >> the girl is identifying as a boy but she's still biologically female. >> kelly fedoruk is legal counsel representing the family on behalf of alliance defensing freedom. she says the school is violating the student's right to privacy. >> they told our client he needed to tolerate the situation and act as natural as policy when a girl entered took her clothes off in the boys locker room. >> matt says he will likely go along with the change but he doesn't like it. >> i wouldn't really feel most comfortable changing next to a girl and i don't think -- i can almost guarantee i was girl definitely would not feel comfortable changing next a guy. >> reporter: we contacted the superintendent's office forge comment earlier today. we are still waiting to hear back from them. iain? >> shawnette, thank you. philadelphia police need your help finding the killer of a 23-year-old man in olney. richard lewis, jr., took multiple shots to the head and body at fourth and rows land streets early this morning. memorial now marks that spot. the victim's father richard lewis, sr. tells fox 29 his son was trying find job and was getting ready to go to school. >> trying to change things around. sometimes i understand, you know, out here it gets hopeless but, you know, you just keep praying and ask god to help you to be able to get a job. so that's where he was at. >> he was just a normal regular every day person, you know, that you know that you see every day walking around here. >> police say they don't have any leads right now. the family is holdin holding a t the murder scene tomorrow night. ♪ every day even as dark stories often dominate the headlines our bill anderson continues to talk to people helping shine a light. bill found a group of friends trying to find a way to help people battling homelessness and drug addiction in any way they can for goodness sake. >> dave was an addiction. he was an active addiction for possibly two to three years. >> reporter: sad it's becoming all too common story in our ar area. >> the last 22 months of his life he was in recovery. he did relapse. he ended up taking his life. report roar his struggle to get help inspired her to get involved in many different ways at least one continues to guide her every day. >> to this day i will swear that david wanted me to get involved more so i'd stop worrying and obsessing about how he was doing every day. >> reporter: the group that david told his mom about is angels in motion. a group providing services to philly's homeless and people with addictions for years but the service that terry and her friend diane are most involved in is handmade sleeping mats given to people living on the street. >> i am a crochet instructor. i was looking for something different to do. and i had seen the sleeping mat done on a youtube video. >> the mats are 3-foot by 6-foot. >> diane had taken it upon herself to crochet mats out of plastic bags on her own. when she met terry the sleeping mat project was born and now months later the facebook page shows people from all over the area who are taking time to help those in need in any way they can. >> this is something anyone can do or anybody can play a part in and until those people are at the point where they're ready to accept help and take that help and move forward, um, this is something that's going to be a comfort to them and necessary to them. >> reporter: as terry and diane showed me the process it was clear that they had found way to get involved and were encouraged by how many people wanted to join them. >> we had young children cutting bags, and we have people that are in their 70s and possibly 80s crocheting mats for us. >> their emotional connection to the people they help was clear when i shared with them the response to the mats that i personally scene distributed. >> i was out when they handed them to people. >> that's awesome. >> and the response that people had was tremendous. i didn't know that you haven't been out there. >> right. >> but people were amazed by them. people were very happy to have them. one man started crying. >> the mats made so far have all been happened crocheted but now a lower merion school has taken on the challenge of creating looms so more people can make the mats and more people can be helped. >> do you feel you're a part of something. and you know, to me personally it was healing a bit through helping. >> angels in motion message is just help. help in the neighborhood or help making mats in your home but help for goodness sake. i'm bill ant son. >> ♪ in camden today raising aware fess about drug overdose. police and volunteers out in front of the camden county police department handing out purple bags inside hygiene products and cards with information about what to do in the case of an overdose. many of the volunteers from the camden county addiction awareness task force and members of sheet metal workers local 19. big day for pal students shopping for the right prom dress girls from 22 pal centers across the city came to the cozen pal center in north philadelphia. volunteers donated dresses and time. and pal officers were there to help students find just the right look for the big dance at absolutely no cost. and not just the dress but the makeup, the jewelry, the shoes. everything. so good for ahead and get to see them be rested and get a ring and i know all you old school types who say back in the days the guys played all 82 games every season. guess what? back in the days player careers only lasted ten, 11 years because those players were ran into the ground. there's a reason players play much longer now and besides, no one crys when fans take personal days off of their jobs because
